On Wednesday 11th November at the Winter Gardens the Thanet Sports awards were held. MISA were nominated in the Unsung Hero category. They were highly commended and presented with a trophy. Unfortunately only three of the committee were able to attend the ceremony.

Well done to everyone involved in MISA! I have a good picture of them from the award ceremony but I can’t upload it!

I feel that Sandy Ezekiel should have been awarded a trophy for all his hard work in ensuring the future of senior football within Thanet.

Without his unending struggle to back the club and team to the hilt over the issue of the ground we would still be struggling in the National Conerence fighting for a place in the Football League

Councillor Ezekiel has fought tooth and nail against the planning officers and used his own style of pressure on fellow councillors to ensure that Margate Football Club have reached the dizzy hights we now find ourselves in as opposed to the situation we were in five years ago. The man is a legend and should be imortalised in concrete (with or without breathing straws) for how he has stood up to the supporters of the club and put us in our current place,

This and how he has changed the face of Dreamland and Margate High Street shows he is a man of great vision who should of gone to Specsavers

I do not know to much about the councillor mentioned in "Frankie 100's" post. What i do know is that from experiences I have had listening to some passengers, who are in local politics(which ever party), while they occupy the rear seat of my car. I have come to the conclusion the majority treat the position they hold as being a game. They get out of the car leaving me shaking my head in despair. Others leave me thinking what reality are they occupying, certainly not mine. I must say a couple I pick up are or seem to genuinely interested in what goes on?
