Harwood opts for Angels switch

Completely agree with Michael. Personally can't see the Angels getting promoted this season - but even if they do - they probably do not have the infrastructure to sustain a place in the Conference South and then push on to 'bigger and better things'. In the medium-term, I personally think we are a better prospect

I'm most dissappointed in the aledged deception. As it turns out, it sounds as if he had already done a better deal to go to Tonbridge anyway, or renege on his agreement to sign for them and stay with us. I reckon the traveling is a bit of a red herring too - no one had moved Margate since he was with us last time! Ah well, you live an learn. A good player without a doubt, but the budget benefits strike me as even better than having him.

In these situations-who is actually responsible when it goes belly up?

Is it the players 'fault' or the person who signed him in the initial instance ?

Is not the latter also responsible .

Its a bit like getting divorced and blaming your ex-wife for it.Well who was responsible for marrying her in the first place ?

My simple point is that we may be being a bit harsh on a 21 year old.

I certainly made plenty of stupid and wrong decisions at that age (things have'nt changed much either !!)

Yes-we are a bit footie starved are'nt we ?

There's only so many archived wellsie commentsries from the pre-war years that you can listen to in one day to keep the juices flowing.

No game this saturday either

No sign of a friendly i guess.

That given-i reckon the 'breaks' will be of benefit to us

I said to Dan Young at least that is one more game he won't miss. Of course if Billericay draw on Saturday in Trophy, that would rule out our game with them on 24th too!

The deception does hurt, but if a player is determined not to play for us than we are definately better off without him. I just hate Margate being used as a shop window for players, Anderson the keeper, Harwood, really makes you wonder if we have anyone who does really want to be here or if they just think Margate is a place to be seen by other managers. Real conspiracy theory time now, but does it seem to anyone else that Tommy Warrilow has said to Liam you need to prove your fitness so he goes running to Margate and says I will play for you, all the while waiting for a Tonbridge contract to appear.
