This was already mentioned on the Hastings game Steve and, although not made official, am sure it is correct. Agree he was good in air but to slow for my liking on the ground. Am personally looking forward to seeing Dan Young and Liam Harwood at the back together, should tighten up the defence.

I too,like Alan, am looking forward to the return of Danny Young to play alongside of Harwood (even if Ben had still been here).

 

Should be interesting & hopefully with that extra pace & youth it might help us hold on to leads more often in the future. Danny has always impressed me & every year he continues to improve his game & his fitness & i.m.o.should be further up the pyramid but we are lucky that he likes it here & that we have him.

 

Going back to Ben.Good luck with whatever you decide to do & wherever you go.

let the clearout begin , just as i said when Mark Butler got the job , no disrespect to Ben as i thought he done ok for us , a few errors but what player hasn`t done that for us this season . Mark already has his formular and Steve beeks was the 1st Lewis was the 2nd whats the 3rd 4th 5th going to be .

Some might not want things changed to much but it will happen over time so it works for the Boss as he wants it to be his team his ideas and his desitions thats gets us back .

 

Basically Mark Butler is showing his authority at HDP , thats what we want isn`t it .

Was the worst kept secret at HDP surely, 1st stripped of the captaincy, then dropped etc etc .Ben was told he could leave long before the new manager arrived , so im told . I think MB has just confirmed what we all knew , that Ben was too bigger outlay for not enough return. Any bets on who is next ? If JK is on a fair whack i wouldnt be surprised if it were him.

fringe players going on loan is better than just letting them go completley , this is where we have gone wrong in the past you have to put there quality to good use and thats not letting someone else have it perminantly, send them on loan to gain experience and 1st team football then they come back to us in a much better frame of mind .

i recon at least 6 or7 will be gone.as for fringe players being sent on loan andy which would yolike back who have left i cant think of any,all are at a lower level than us

The posting re:Ben lewis may well be correct this time-but have'nt we gone down this route before at the time of the Ashford (middx) game and then lo and behold-a slimmer fitter Ben appears two games later and in his latter games has doe pretty well i have both read and witnessed.

So much for my hopes of a Harwood / Young partnership then. Looks like Keister will be at the back again then I presume unless we can get a central defender in. Luke is fine but hadn't progressed from last season,for whatever reason, prior to his loan spell at Ramsgate. Maybe his stint there will have sharpened him up.

Am very dissappointed in Harwood I have to say.
