Dean Harper

I know im biased as ive always liked Deano- always gives 100% and a really nice bloke but.....

How good has he been since coming back in to the team this season..... I'll tell you very. Mature, reliable and quality has featured in every man of the match conversation (behind the goal) in the games he's played! Really pleased for him and hope he can keep the run going.

Fanstastic for him to score on saturday throughly deserved! All that was missing is a dive into the crowd!!

I thought Deano was toast after the Tooting game where he wasn't great. I certainly never thought he'd end up keeping Edwards out of the team who we all rate highly but on the evidence of the last few games it's deserved. That's what competition for places does for some people and long may it continue.

The Tooting game was unfair on Harps he was thrown in with no games behind him so very difficult to be up with the pace but as you rightly point out he has been quality since. Ever since he arrived at the club he has and still does give 100% when we stand behind the goal and cheer him he always gives us back the same, look at the picture on the site the relief of scoring is there for all to see, Slough through and through and hopefully he will remain at the club for years to come, what you see is what you get and as already pointed out he is areally nice bloke who is happy talking to all of us

Dean Harper is a whole-hearted player who will always give 100% no matter what club he is at.

Edwards came back from an injury against Chesham and I can only guess that he had a re-action to the injury when he was a sub in the next game against Boreham Wood.

Another distinct possibility is that SB took the view that he had to give Harps some games to get him match fit knowing that NBH will be missing the Chesham game tomorrow night.

Will be interesting to see who plays alongside NBH in Saturdays game.

As much as I rate Edwards, I fear he might not be ready to be thrown straight back in to such an important game. Not because of his fitness, just lack of matches.

I think Edwards will probably start though, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sweeney played with Harper at centre-back, but then that would probably leave the inexperienced Kyle Jeffrey at right back I guess?

If available, I'm pretty certain Edwards will play along side Harper. I think we've looked far too vulnerable in the right back position when Sweeney has switched to central defence.

I dunno, I would not be suprised if Sweens plays alongside Harper tonight as Chesham have a lot of pace through their front two (which will probably be Cox and Archer) as Nathan is missing through suspension.

Having said that Edwards would be very unlucky to miss out having been outstanding this season apart from one lapse in the Burnham game.
