By the luck of the draw Croydon Municipal face Croydon at the Arena in a Premier Challenge Cup tie,K.O.7.45pm.As the only game on in Combined Counties the hosts are expectng their biggest crowd of the season,all are welcome to attend in what has the makings of an exciting game.The bar will be open from 6PM for early comers.As the underdogs Municipal have nothing to lose,but everything to win,well if you count being at home to Badshot Lea,the best footballing side I have seen at this level this season a gain.And as the only game on, I am expecting 3 Top class Officials to be officiating.Best of Luck to both sides,lets have a cracker to remember.

I was at Horsham v Sutton (2-1) in league cup.

From Trams point of view this is one of those horrible games, where we are expected to win, but will be up against opposition who have nothing to lose and will undoubtedly step their game up a few notches. I will be very happy if we can scramble through tonight.

 

Won't be there tonight Smudge, but hope its a good game.

With Five former Trams players in their team CM did well. The game was great for the whole first half apart from an irritating little man who ruined every attack the Trams had, by waving his gayly coloured little flag like a 5 year old girl on VE day. I feel sorry for him in a way as such was he enthusiasm for flagging EVERYTHING he must have straned himself as he raised it rarely in the second half even when there were two clearly offside goals scored.

 

What happened next? the Trams keeper was booked for pointing out to the ref that the lineman was wrong. and after the second offside goal went in the Trams had a player sent off, again for pointing out the said officials error.

 

Still what's football without a little controversy?

 

A better game I'd say.

 

Well done to CM they did take up the reins in the second half and deserved their fourth goal.

 

So all in all the game was really only a 2-1 win for them.

 

Oh well ... FA Vase on Saturday.

and CM ... well they deserved the win ... shame it had to be influanced by a poor official and sending off ... even one of their players said the sending off was the turning point to me today.
