Shocking ref, played some good football up until the Matt Hall ankle breaker? Hit the frame of the goal twice. They were given a ridiculous penalty decision....Some games just don't go your way and this one had absoulutely everything like it.

Well...I must say, what difference does a Ref make? He wasn't the best (are any of them?) but he didn't influence our performance at all, which apart from the first 20 minutes was shocking. As soon as Matt Hall came off, our midfield collapsed in a heap!!! The passing of some players was terrible...One expreienced player completed zero passes in the first half and not much more in the second. With the exception of one "old school Blues" player, the defence was woeful...and once again...what leadership was on the pitch didn't come from the area it should've!!!

I've heard all the "sob" stories now about the lack of "luck" and over this season, the lack of "luck" doesn't enter into it. It's not responsible for not being able to defend set peices, it's not responsible for losing concentration in the last five and conceeding late, it's not responsible for not concentrating at the beginning of the game and conceeding early, it's not responsible for passing the ball directly to the opposition and then having to defend for large periods of the game because certain players can't even hit a blue player with a pass, It's not responsible for not being able to to hit a barn door with a banjo when in the position to score and it's not responsible for idiot players making a judgement call and deciding that they're going to take the law into their hands and try to break someones leg and then get sent off!!! We are not unlucky, we are poor And the thing is...we have some players which CAN do better!!!

One thing about yesterday, my thanks go to the Blue Army who did get behind the players until it looked bloody obvious that there could've been a Wembley stadium full of Blue Army and the players would've still not been motivated to play. Keep it up lads, I know it's hard but at least if we supporters keep our end up, something of the "heart" and "spirit" that this club is proud will remain.

.

I'll stick with the message board convention of not naming names, but those two problems have been a re-curring theme all season, in my opinion.

And they could be fixed in one move.

What a shambles our club is in.Matt Hall was in trouble with his injury and they called for a stretcher only for the management to be more con cerned with what changes can be made. When it did arrive a supporter had to go onto the pitch to help carry him off.

Please Mr Chairman put us out of this misery and get rid of the football management at our club

There is no way the manager can be blamed for yesterday's defeat. We were all over Carshalton until some thug possibly breaks Matt Hall's ankle, who was running the middle of midfield. How the hell the ref does not send him off I just do not know as not only does he cause a potential break he went right through the back of him to do so! From then on the whole game changed as we have lost our best player and they are not down to 10. It was one of the worst reffing decisions I have seen and one does get the impression that the Gods are against the club this season. I really feel for Hall and wish him the swiftest of recoveries.

It was good to see Bradley back again, it was good to see some centre halves who looked good and for the first 15 minutes I thought we were going to be shooting up the table. We still need a striker though, but I am sure that the management don't need to be told this.I agree it was good to see the supporters still getting behind the boys and they are going to need to be singing their hearts out as confidence has got to be at a low after that game.

I thought the game followed the pattern of many of our early season games.

We started brightly and looked a decent side. Then a few key incidents that changed the game. Wild hit the bar with a header, Hall who had been running the game got taken out and then we gave away yet another penalty.

I don't know how fit the various new incumbents were but bringing on Street for Hall would have seemed a more obvious change to make to me rather than completely dilute the strength of our midfield - we were never really in the game after that change. Once they went 2 up (I thought that was a great goal) we were never going to get back into it.

History shows that continually changing the manager during a sequence of poor results is generally not the best way forward but Brian seems to have completely lost the confidence of even the most loyal supporters now and it doesn't seem to be too much better with the players. We need to look mid term not short term but our situation in the league is now very bad.

The Carshalton fans I spoke to were a nice bunch of lads, so all the best to them - let's hope we're in better shape for the return fixture.

It's obvious for any clueless idiot to see, STATHAM HAS GOT TO GO!! The table doesn't lie, bottom with one league victory. It was Statham that got rid of Tucker, Heffer, Hunter etc before the season started and then managed to get rid of the best 2 players in the club, Dormer and Flack shortly after and brought players in that frankly aren't good enough. Unbelievable how 1 man can ruin a club

I agree that Wareham was not the man to come on. He is physically not up to it, good at getting the ball in to the box, but not good at scrapping for possession.

:cheesy (2):

Hey! I know? Lets get rid of Wareham as well, might as well! And then we can flash out any other Billericay players that may have survived the Heybridge sword.

Can’t be many left NOW? In fact just how many are there?

Dave Wareham like Most of all the past Billericay players needed to be :futbolbud2: coach and Managed. By WINNERS :290:

TC.......... Bring him in.

The kindest thing to say would be what would have happened if Hall hadn't been the victim of that shocking tackle (get well soon Matt) as up until then it had looked quite bright.

After that it fell apart, we were overrun in midfield and taught a harsh lesson. With so many new players in the side it was obvious we were playing as eleven individuals rather than one team and Carshalton should probably have scored more than four.

The lack of spirit and on field leadership is a worry and it needs addressing fast, cos it doesn't look good.

It was confusing why we didn't replace an injured central mid-fielder with the central mid-fielder we had on the bench.

Why was that?

Was hoping for a better performance and result after Tuesday's win.

Not so, and lost one of the better players stretchered off. I don't even get that surprised at the defeats now. Bad times.

Then to cap it all, left my Town shirt and scarf on a train later that night :(

Like people have said, we totally dropped our heads when Matt Hall went off, and by half time we looked like a beaten side, but it shows us how much we need a player like him, so, I hope Shinny comes back soon. Feel sorry for Hall though, hopefully he can come back to playing football like he has done.

I don't think it was a 4-0 game, but results, and tables don't lie. In the first 15/20 minutes we looked the better side, hitting the post but it all went wrong. Having said that, we played 4/5 players who had only trained with the team once, so against a team like Carshalton, who has the best striker in the league, it would have been hard. For me, the games we need to look at, and see how well the team perform once they are settled in with eachother are Burnham, Aveley and Leyton.

I don't think you can expect to sign 6 players one day, then have them settled in the next day, hes signed players at the start of the season, it hasnt worked, hes now signed 6, if it works, then good luck to him, if it doesn't then a change should be made. It's the last straw for me.

Which supporter exactly went on?...If one did go onto the pitch power to him but from where I was standing, the stretcher was called and delivered and Brian followed, amougnst others very soon after to lend a hand in getting Hall on it and get him off...You need more than two people to carry a stretcher comfortably.

Strange how when a man is condemed, we start seeing things which don't exist... If we're gonna criticize him, lets stick to what we actually see on the pitch and not make it up...next you'll be having a go at the elves that live at the bottom of the ground.

You're both right, Brian came on and also a supporter came on to take the 4th corner of the stretcher
