Wasn't a 4-0 game. No 8 should have got a red.

Bottom of the league - no league win since 23 August.

Is Brian Statham the right man for the job? At this moment in time, I fear not!!!!!!!!!!

You know what? It seems like everyone tip toeing around on eggshells waiting to see what other people have to say about this clueless performance yet again before they add their pennies worth. Well let me tell everyone why it’s truly over?

As a manager If You have a game plan and it doesn’t work, then you need to change it and change fast.

Great managers do this quickly, average managers do it to late and poor managers never see it!

Make your own mind up.

I have. See ya. :Kick_Can_emoticon:

bognor got a point at dartford

Which is more than we have had in months home or away (in the league)

I'm a firm believer in the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

Can i just point out that not only is it broke it's well and truly knackered.

Crying shame about Matt Hall but to totally drop your game because of one change is not acceptable in any league.

Good luck Matt

Is this the same team that chucked us out the fa cup,we have nicked dormer & flacky off you but that don't make you a bad team overnight, yeah short of firepower but tc is no mug and i would rather him running my club than other people, consider yourselves to have a bad season,i don't think you are that bad, ricay don't play below ryman prem and i don't think the people running your club will want to play at that level

Buzzardboy, I don't think you will find one person who would disagree with you regards TC.

Not only do you think the people running or club want to stay at this level but the fan's also wouldn't mind staying here or indeed moving up a level,

Based on the past few months it's not looking good and that sir is what i meant in my last post.

It's broke and needs to be fixed but as nice a bloke as BS is, he does not seem to be able to fix it.

Well my opinion remains that the manager needs to stay. I don't believe in sacking managers after a few months in charge, but I do believe in giving them time, and I don't think that early November is sufficient time. I don't think that we will go down, but if we are still struggling this time next year then yes he should go. However, the squad is looking better, with the need still for a striker, and until Hall got stretchered off we were looking great. His recent new players have been much better, but we have got to convert the chances that we make. My only plea now is that we get a strike force that looks like they are capable of scoring.

If you are a manager in any walk of life then you are judged on exactly that - how you manage what you are in charge of managing. Much of the squad that started the seaon was of his choice but it also contained a significant number of players who spent most of last season in the relegation mire with Heybridge Swifts. Easy to criticise right now but I still cannot see any of those who came to us to play for Brian who have made their mark. Perhaps a good pointer here is to judge the number of new songs the fans have adapted to cheer on and inspire any of the former Scraley Road boys? Brian has now had to adopt plan B as plan A has failed big time. Sure, plan B would work better when you score rather than hitting the woodwork twice in a game at key times and when arguably your most influencal midfielder yesterday cops a shocker of a tackle which takes him out of the game (and possibly several more thereafter). That said, what Brian now has is a team of mixed individuals all still looking to establish themselves as many have already been rattling around the non-league circuit since last season and have still to settle anywhere for any length of time.

Does this change of personnel make a team 'great' as quoted earlier - I don't think so. The 'team' looked, at very best, adequate for the first fifteen minutes of each half and, with a bit more luck, might have salvaged something from a very oridinary Carlshalton side but the fact is once again we gave the opposition miles too much space to play in and each time we conceeded too many players went into do the bare basics disappearing mode.

Brian must have a say in picking the players to join the club and will ultimately survive or perish by their individual and collective performances. Fact right now is simple, we are bottom of an ordinary league and still, in my opinion, showing no signs of sufficient quality or motivated belief to offer a competitive alternative to the banal displays the supporters are witnessing regardless of the strengths or status of the oppositon pitched up against us.

If Brian is unable to use his football knowledge and contacts along with personal capabilities to install some kind of team ethic, belief and motivation before too much longer then he needs to make way for someone who can otherwise we will be in real danger of mirroring what happened to Heybridge Swifts last season.

Harsh times but the league table does not lie.......
