That's not ideal - as decent as the two centre backs looked on Tuesday, I rated Chris Wild as one of our best players, and it'll be a difficult gap to fill.

 

Also a shame about Billy, as I thought he looked sharp on Tuesday. Do you know if it's a loan or permanent? (I'm assuming it's not a loan, as he wasn't contracted, was he?)

Good Luck tp Chris-I'm always one for seeing our players leave and move upwards. He served us well for the last couple of seasons through the most turbulent times in our short history and has come out of it with more credit than negatives.

 

Can't blame Billy for moving on either, he needs opportunities and was'nt getting them at the same time we need a more reliable/proven/experienced forward to reach the play offs and as much as i admire Billy for the lad he is, he does'nt have the 3 criteria's yet. I hope we have at least given him some platform where he'll thrive elsewhere, i'm sure he'll always be welcomed back. Good luck to Billy too.

 

Saying all this it'll be interesting to see what our line up is at Wingate and what effect the new crop of signings will have, trusting S & Del we may be seeing our first team being improved for the better to sustain a big push for season.

Looking at his CV on the Billericay forum he is only 25 and has already had 10 clubs. According to his standards He probably qualified for a long service medal at Town!
