Our defence of the trophy we have won for the last two years begins next week.

 

Although I have heard nothing from Chelmsford, I understand from the League that the game will be played next Monday, 9th November, 7.45ko.

 

Unlike previous seasons, Chelmsford now play their CL games at Melbourne Park.

 

Seems like a good opportunity for a dress rehearsal for the FA Trophy game.

Whilst looking at the draw for the next round of the ESC today, I noticed that Chelmo are playing Grays at home next Monday 16 November. Once again they didn't bother to tell me. Our President's Cup game will therefore not be on that day. It may now be on Wednesday 18 November, but I wouldn't hold your breath!

If it is wet next Wednesday they probably won't want to ruin the pitch for their beautiful, slick passing game on Saturday! I am going to instruct the players to make as much mess of the pitch as possible, so that our hopeless long ball game that is only suitable for long grass really comes into it's own next Saturday!

I have had confirmation that the game will be played next Wednesday 18 November at Melbourne Park, Salerno Way, Chelmsford CM1 2EH, 7.45ko.

 

If I were you though, I'd keep watching this space!

 

Kel, does that mean our Capital League home game against Aveley sheduled for the 19th November will now be postponed?
