Interesting arrival from the station manager and his sidekick.

 

We offered to do the Drivetime show, not once were we told that it'll be a strict format, this was lumbered on us a week before we started. We also explained that due to my TV work (which hadn't materialised when we offered to do the show) and Tony's work that we might not be able to do all of them, to which we were told that nobody else could do it and we'd promised, that's why we took turns some days.

We were also told off about not playing station idents between songs, however these were on a computer that we were never shown how to use before we went on air as the meeting for this info was cancelled.

As before we were advertised as being uncompramising in style.

The timetable was a nightmare to run to as it left no time for banter or anything and stuff like local news was never there, it took a few days to find the local events stuff as we were never shown and the traffic was none existant - I remember 2 road incidents and no rail.

In the 3rd week we stared running strictly to the timetable and this was when we were kicked off, for mentioning St.Albans, well that's where I'm from so that would form a certain amount of my experinences which I'd like to mention.

So little happen's in the area it's hard to talk about it and why can we mention the Westlife concert at Wembly in "local events" but me mentioning St.Albans was off limits.

We were also meant to get a phone call at the weekend after to dicuss things but that didn't arrive. It would of been nice to of recieved it, especially as we did a lot of preparation and I was out from 05.30 to 19.30 every day to fit in work and the radio and I took several days holiday.

 

After hearing the DJ's on Phoenix before our show and after we went, I can safely say that it was very dull and during one half hour period I did hear the weather 3 times.

And for our names to be removed on the website and replaced with "expletive removed" is frankly out of order. I would of liked to of carried on the hangover show but quite frankly I'm about to start on national TV so I've got bigger fish to fry.

Only a couple I think, I was mentioning that we were a city and have a cathedrial and Brentwood didn't - then I remembered it did <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

 

As for the TV - definantly October, may be before depending on these idiots at Rapture - don't knoew the channel number yet though.

Not sure - Rapture basically have nothing and want everything from us, which is obviously no go. Meetings have ground to a halt and at present we'll lauch as BPM TV on October 5th and Rapture will do there own thing (probably going bust), so unless we can come to a aggreement then we won't be doing the Leeds festival, not sure if Rapture still will be - I guess they could find a production company to do, but it'll be very expensive for a cash poor company.
