Not a great performance, but who cares. A win is a win and considering our Tuesday night record over the past few years that will do nicely.

Saying that first half I thought we played quite well in patches. Good goal as well a good ball from Harps, great first touch by Tommy but then a fortunate deflection for the goal. Having said that they were fortunate when Leon missed from a yard and Elliott just managing to miss getting a touch to divert the ball into an empty net following a Hayes shot.

Second-half was very much a carbon copy of the Hemel game at home I thought. Did not keep the ball well at all and it kept coming back at us, but they only really tested Perks once in the whole game. Second-half we did not play well really, but the defence held together well.

Overall Harps had a decent game I thought and Mo looked lively going forward. Tommy had a very good first half as well, but best player for me was Sweeney by a mile.

Two very difficult games coming up now, and this starts it off nicely.

Have to agree thought Harps had another good game seems to be the voice at the back my MOTM great ball to Hayes for the goal and what a first touch by Hayes who also had a good game, as you say 3 points is 3 points more difficult Saturday I would think

we are really missing wing men i thought that we were very narrow tonight , woodford were wide open on the right but we had no width, mo has to learn when to pass the ball there were times tonight when he took on more than he could cope with when a pass to a better placed player would have been simpler and more effective, sweeny was my man of the match, nathan had a very good game as well, heres looking forward to saturday.

Bateman seemed to be trying a different formation last night. Hibbert was playing in front of the back 4 and Mo was playing behind the front 2 with Kean and Edgeworth in the middle. Hayes and Buchanan did well to cover the wings to help out and Mo's pace was quite useful in the centre.

At least we got the 3 points and kept Woodford quite quiet until the last 15mins or so, but the important thing is that we ground out the win.

Up to 5th with 3 or 4 very big and important games to come over the next couple of weeks.

Have to agree with HT, we were very narrow last night and the game was crying out for some width especially down the right wing.

Have to agree with Sweeney as MOM another faultless performance closely followed by Edgeworth and NBH.

A dreadful match, particularly in the second half. Two teams with ineffectual midfields and forwards separated by a Keystone Cops goal. The only good thing was the victory.

I can't believe there are people saying that Hayes played well. He may run about a lot but his shooting is appalling, with spectators behind the goals in more danger from his efforts than the keeper. His"goal" was a poor shot, hitting the keeper when he had pretty much an open goal.

The next three matches against Rothwell, Chesham and Atherstone are crucial and could make or break our season. We need to put in some better league performances. Just failing valiantly in cups isn't good enough. Three defeats in the next three games and automatic promotion will probably have gone.

It wasn't a great performance but again we've grounded out a result, which at the end the of the day is the important thing. Obviously we should be going for 3 wins but I think we need to be looking for a minimum of 5 points from the next 3 matches and I'd say Chesham United will be the biggest test of the 3.

I thought the first half we were excellent and created numerous good chances. Going into the second half at 1-0 up I really

thought we would go on and score 4 or 5 but it was not to be. MOM: Sweeney, closely followed by Mo. As for Woodford, another

side with no support - is anyone ever going to bring any fans to Holloways Park I ask myself?

The only side who'll bring good support will be Chesham United, which depending on league positions of both clubs could be a 400-500 crowd. Hitchin Town should also bring more than usual zero most clubs bring. Bromsgrove Rovers also would have brought a few had it been on the original Saturday and also before they were deducted 10 points. Also the matches against Marlow and Beaconsfield SYCOB should attract above average gates but only because they're on a Bank Holiday/Easter weekend. But sadly apart from these matches all the rest will see next to no away support.

I thought Dean Harper had a very good game last night, I would have put him as MOTM personally.

Araas, i'ts all about opinions and a lot of clubs choose the MoM by a majority vote which we don't seem to do.

All I will say is, imo, MoM should be given to a player who's OVERALL game/contribution was superior than any other players game or a player has done something so special that it maybe changes the course of a game i.e. scored a hat-trick to win the game.

Whilst Harps and Mo had reasonably good games there were parts of their game that were not so good IMO.
