Billericay Town have released midfielder Lawrence Yiga and would like to wish him all the best.

 

Brian Statham said "With Lawrence leaving and Chris Sullivan agreeing to terminate his contract by mutual consent, this will give the likes of Harrison Chatting and Luca Frankis a chance to stake a claim in the side."

 

 

We can confirm that Chris Sullivan has left the Club, having been placed on the transfer list recently.

 

We would like to Chris the best of luck in his future footballing career.

Harrison should definately get a go, he has been treated terribly, he has always impressed when coming on only to be put on the bench

for the next match. He should be given a chance to start for 4 or 5 games. He is playing well already, how good could he be if given a bit

of confidence. Hopefully Luca is good enough, being honest I have not seen enough of him to cast my opinion.

I can not see the point in offering positions to unfit players that have been rejected by other clubs when we have decent players on the

books already. Give the youngsters a chance,if they are not good enough, look for decent recruits, not rejects!

I agree, both these players must be an improvement on the two leaving. Yiga showed flashes of goodness, but no where near enough. Harrison has always been good and Luca looks useful.

Great work by the management and look now... Brian has finally seen that the possible answer to brilliance has been under his nose the whole time. Hopefully Chatting to get a start tomorrow night....just a thought if we had him on the wing and Dave Wareham on the other that could quite possibly be amazing.

 

Will give Harrison and Luca especially a major confidence boost to now have the reassurance that they shall not be overlooked any longer and i suspect they will be readily pumping themselves up for tomorrows game.

I would give Harrison his chance. Dave is a decent player but, for me, a bit inconsistent. If Harrison does not impress,

we know that Dave is ready and waiting in the wings!

It would be good for them both and nice to see some home grown talent on the pitch.

Nothing else is working very well at the moment so this has to be a step in the right direction.

Harrison Chatting has been knocking on the door long enough to be given a chance, but it should've happened a long time ago. We've League and Essex Senior Cup games coming up, and that's where they should get a start. Dormer, Flack, Sullivan and Yiga all going surely frees up a bit of budget to strengthen the squad?

We need a blend of youth and experience in my view to improve.

 

I agree with Ryan (again! f**k me!) that the games against Burnham and Leyton will provide excellent opportunites for some of the younger players to impress. I don't think we should be throwing in loads of kids into what is clearly a difficult situation although I would agree Harrison is a way ahead of the other youngsters I have seen in reserve games. Sos Yao seemed to have a little bit about him in the reserve game against Witham and I wouldnt object to him getting some kind of opportunity either although neither of them would be much good at defending corners!
