Teddy Sheringhan to Ramsgate

Oops Sheringham with an "M" sorry.

FA Trophy : Ramsgate v Bishops Stortford.

Charlie (son of Teddy) plays for Stortford so maybe Teddy will be visiting scruffy old Southwood too. Might attract the neutral on the day (including me).

Bad draw for them I reckon. Away would have been better I would have thought.. Still,a Cup game at home & who knows Ramsgate could pull of a "big big shock". (though it's doubtful i.m.o).

Other ties include Dover v Dartford. A juicy one that one.

Reckon Ramsgate will fancy themselves there. Home draw, hardly a pitch that suits flowing football, so pretty much a scrappy game anticipated. And if they can bring Stortford down to their level, there's no reason they can't turn them over. Seeing as we don't have a game on that day now (unless one is rescheduled), that Dover game certainly looks appealing. Mind you, although I know the Trophy is supposed to be regionalised TO AN EXTENT, I find it mighty convenient that it has thrown up the following:

Dover vs. Dartford

Bromley vs. Maidstone

Welling vs. Tonbridge

A little suspect, no?

Yep agree, there, not seen the full draw as yet,... but Home to any of those we would of been happy with ( except Tonbridge, as we have them in the KST) rather than who we do have,

I know the FA are desperate for cash but fixing the FA Trophy draw so they'll get a few more quid from some tinpot non-league matches seems a conspiracy theory too far to me. I just hope someone tells Sheringham to have some vaccinations if he's planning on going to Southwood.

I thought the sourhwood pitch was in excellent condition last thursday night;and indeed, i just wish it was margate who had progressed in the trophy so from a personal point of view i am extremely jealous, hacked off and sick as the proverbial parrot that Margate yet again did not get past the first hurdle (tough draw notwithsanding ).

We are of course still in the league cup with next tuesdays(10th) game at VCD to see if we can actually progress in a cup competition.

I seriously hope MB sets his stall out to win this cup.

It may not get the juices flowing just at the moment-but come January /february it could be an important competition to be in (and win) to keep the squad playing and supporter interest up

A very honest post Michael if I may say so.
