Not a bad draw. Hitchin are a league below but are doing very well. Still got to beat Barton tomorrow though. Then after 3Q round is that when the connie premier teams join? Wishful thinking!! LUTON AWAY!!

Am I the only one worried we "may" have another Margetsbury scenario on our hands ?!? Even "if" we do progress through, Hitchin would be extremely tough..didn't Canvey come up against them earlier in season? But "If" we do get through Tuesday, then at least we have got a home draw.

 

Just peeked at Hitchin forum..couple of them seem pleased at the draw..Hmm

Looks like we've only played Hitchen once before in any F.A. cup competition...

 

1980/81 - they did us 3-0 at their gaff in the Trophy 2nd Qualifying Round.

 

Let's hope we get a chance for revenge.

Yep, they got a 3-3 draw at Park Lane, then Canvey beat them 1-0 at Hitchin. Their recent form is six straight wins, although one was a friendly against Harrow Borough.

 

IF we get past Barton tomorow evening this will be a real test.

 

I see Hornchurch are also replaying tomorow evening with the reward of a trip to the county towns Athletics Stadium on offer to the winner. Nice.
