Prem Div title race

After 15 games in, the league is taking shape...

Great weekend for Colney Heath - without Ian Cooper and other's losing around them.

Consistency turning out performances and getting results. Strenth in depth is amazing for a club with a very small budget.

Aylesbury tipped by many but now playing catch up - can they do it?

Other's seem unable to put decent runs together - Heath have twice beaten Royston - despite very close games - mix of youth and experience is great to see.

Colney just wear teams down - very strong.

Difficult matches coming up but if they are top at Xmas - can anyone catch them?

Would be great for a club built on great local players to win a verry difficult league.

You missed Dunstable off that table.....

Great weekend results wise, but we still need to keep the hard work up - we didn't really play that well against Kentish until the third goal went in, then we turned the screw in the last half hour. But we got five goals without Cooper - hopefully it shows people we don't have to rely on him as much as everyone thinks.

We don't know when we're beaten. 2-2 at Dunstable with 10 men and still get the three points, The Challenge Trophy match at Hatfield, that excellent Premier Division cup match against Royston (Lacey at the back stick!) - all matches that we dug in and worked hard at getting something from.

Plus, take the Hanwell draw (down to ten men foran hour) and Chalfont defeat (less said the better!) away, and we dropped four points from injury time equalisers - could have been much more different....

It's good that we've been up there for so long against strong teams. As you say, if we're still up there at Christmas, who knows?

  • 2 weeks later...

You have to hand it to Royston Town for being third at this stage of the campaign, just six points behind Colney Heath with two games in hand, can you imagine if Craig Hammond had stayed at the Club this season
