Official Site Squad page

The entire squad section of the Official Site has had a complete overhaul.

 

The front page has been given a 'fresher' look (well in my eyes anyway!) whilst all the individual profiles open up in a normal page now instead of a pop-up window. The players pages themselves have a button to take you back to the main squad page and a drop-down to make it quicker to navigate between players.

Each players page also has a 'Sponsor Me' link except for Lloyd Blackman, Joe Healy, Curtis Robinson, Sam Cliff who have been sponsored and their sponsors appear on the respective profiles.

Mark Butler and Steve Beeks have been added and I think that the only player missing is King as I am not sure that we even know his first name yet!

 

The next step is to put up to date appearance statistics on each players page but it is going to be a few days before I even start to work on the coding for that.

 

I have had a look through everything and it all seems to be working fine but if you notice anything wrong or missing, or can add some information to any of the profiles please let me know.

I have been pointed in the direction of a few errors so after a bath (following an hour in the torrential rain watching my son play football) I will get on to them!

The following changes are being uploaded now. If the changes do not show try clearing the cache in your browser.

 

Removed erroneous duplication of Kenny Pratt in the drop-down.

 

Added missing Paul Axon and Narada Bernard links in the drop down.

 

Added 'Loan' and 'Gone' to the 'Quick Links' at the top of the main squad page.

 

Fixed problem where if someone clicked on one of the categories instead of the player name the got taken to a blank page. These will now take you to the relevant section on the squad page.

 

Paul Axon moved to Gone But Not Forgotten section as it seems pretty clear that he is at Whitstable now. His profile has also been amended accordingly. It has also been suggested that Alliston, Edusei and Lombardo have gone but will wait for more confirmation.

 

Amended spelling errors for Marc Beresford and Jeremy Boureau.

 

Fixed problem with wrong names showing up in Title Bar for Krunic, Butler, Smith, Chris Lewis and Curtis Robinson.

 

Updated Neville Southalls profile to give his latest status.

 

Put spaces between paragraphs in profiles and corrected spacing and box sizes for the photo/date of birth/ debut area.

 

Spelling errors that I have been made aware of have been changed but will do a more in-depth check later.

When I uploaded it my tired eyes thought it was fine so obviously the internet gremlins interfered with it during the upload!

Matt Reed and Samson King (well, two lines for King!) have been added to the squad page.

 

While I was at it I have also updated the 'Club History' page to reflect the new management.

 

Also have tidied up the reports pages a bit so the articles fill the entire space (previously there was a half inch gap down the right hand side of the text) and the list of reports have a seperator bar to split them up, similar to the front page.

Steve are you sure it is safe to put any goalkeeper down? I mean 6 in 6 games now, feels like a scratch game down the park at times, you can go in goal this week, your turn next week. I still dont see how we can build any sort of team or form until we have a good REGULAR RELIABLE goalkeeper who can play EVERY game, not just once then sign on with someone else. Almost feels like Margate is a shop window for goalkeepers these days.

Hopefully Mark Butler will introduce some stability there.
