a point clear with a game in hand, although Totton could still overtake us with their two further games.

Early days, I know, but we're still unbeaten and looking better at scoring now. Our goal difference is up to +11 (best are VT FC with 12) which is also much handier than a few weeks ago. Keep it coming... harder tests await.

With 2 home games coming up its a good chance to cement our position at the top and stake our claim as real title contenders. Taking nothing for granted but would not be unreasonable to expect six points. Thatcham will be a stiff test. Who was it on here who said we were going to thrash someone soon.

Very good performance by all, no player underperformed and we deserved our 4-0 scoreline. Keeper looked very competent, didn't have agreat deal to do but what he did do, he did well. Thought he came for and collected crosses very well.Defence looked solid, barely let Mangos have a shot on target and Seeds in midfield looked good and what a ball for Victor's second goal, wouldn't look out of place in the Premier. Victor looked sharp in front of goal and his pace is going to trouble so many defences this season. chenns looked sharp with a good finish early on.

Lets not forget the awesome performance by the darts team before the match as well, first victory of the season including a cameo performance by Woody, what a player!!!!!

Now then. As Hovis would say. [censored] the bed!!

What a performance. Dispite missing some key players we dug deep and found from somewhere our best performance of the season. No not the football but the Darts. What a victory!! After that the result of the match was a bonus and what a cherry it was!! Lets be honest their keeper was struggling a bit because of injury, great 50/50 Richo!, But we deserved our four goals. A different formation but it seemed to work. Very very very happy Royalist tonight!!

Handbaaaaall!

We played VT FC yesterday, good footballing side but mark their strong forward Gibbens out of the game (as we did in the first half leading 2-0) and they run out of ideas going forward. They changed their formation at HT and Gibbens moved as far away from our marker as possible and ended up scoring a match-winning hatrick, I think they had 5 or 6 chances and ended up scoring 4, poor defending on our part. They do not like being turned, we scored 3 but squandered at least another 3 great chances so defend well and you will pick up 3 pts.

See you all Boxing Day, hopefully you will still be top then :)

What are you making of the standard of the league Green Pea? I reckon its not as strong as last year and with less local sides for us meaning not as many sides up for a scrap! Sadly this does mean no 6-2 rerun!

I agree that Totten will be one of the sides to beat, when we played them at their place we stunned them by going ahead but again sloppy defending cost us at least a point on the day. The standard is definitely a step up for us, as expected of course, but I think one of the main differences is some of the managers/coaches are more tactically astute. Yesterday was a good example, also when we played Uxbridge where we dominated the first 20 mins playing some great football and taking the lead before they opted to hit the long ball and adopt an excessive aggressive style of play which worked for them on the night. I think we need to work on not just plan B but also plan C, D, E etc! Still we are enjoying ourselves, we have set our ambitions this season realistically and to win some friends in our first year which I think we are doing. Off to Gosport tomorrow night then Taunton Saturday...

Got a question for you green pea, driving on the A40 i see the ground on the left near greenford has a sign with bedfont green on it and toykynton fc. Did you play there before you came to windsor and does anyone play there now ? looked quite a decent ground.

A - We hold the lease for that ground (previously Viking Greenford then Brentford Ladies) and use it primarily as our training ground and for the Reserves in the Suburban Premier. We also rent it to Tokyngton to get some pennies in to help with the cost of running etc. It does have 100 seated stand, 100 covered standing, clubhouse etc but we are unable to expand it and make further improvements for step 4, hence ground-sharing for match days which always suits the club we are helping to fund as much as ourselves ;)

The Chairman appears to be making some progress with our own plans - http://images.pitchero.com/ui/361/1255868462_1.jpeg

Time will tell...

It's all about timing Woody, The Chairman has been on it for the best part of the last 10 years, hopefully we will be at Windsor for just the one more season after this but we will have to wait and see. We like it at WEFC, some great people working very hard on matchdays who we much appreciate.
