Oh no Burnham with 11 players behind the ball?

That’s very unusual for them.

Not sure if that was meant to be sarcastic, but I'm sure they aren't top by keeping 11 behind the ball.

Essex i'm not sure if your post has a hint of sarcasm in or not in your previous but I was in attendence at the game Saturday and Burnham with 11 players behind the ball was far from the truth. In fact I believe Burnham played 4-3-3 formation which frustrated Bethnall Green & Burnham attacked dangerously Saturday. Bethnall Green had many chances but we could of played until Sunday and they wouldn't have scored. Just one of those days I think.

Having looked at the league table today, Burnham Ramblers have played 3 away games and scored 10 conceded 0 and have a maximum 9 points dispatching of Clapton, Witham & Bethnall Green, no mean feat we would all agree.

Having seen 2 of their 3 away games this year Ramblers seem to enjoy the freedom of playing away from home and the defence looks very solid & the professionalism and management team are first class.

Ramblers may not win this league but at the moment are definetly the team to beat.

BGU do play good football. You have to stop them playing as far as possible but I doubt that Burnham seriously had XI behind the ball. I now how I would set up against BGU and I'll be interested to see how teams do it this season. I think they will finish in the top 5 as I said last week, but they might find it harder next season if one or two "work them out" a little bit.

The manager at Burnham is one of the cleverest tactically in the Senior League from what I've seen and I'm not surprised he thwarted BGU to a certain extent.

I want to make this clear at the end of the day Burnham won got the 3 points so must of done something right, I am in no way complaining at what Burnham did and all the credit must go the management for there tactics the bottom line its about the 3 points and that’s what Burnham got, but what I will say is if we play like we did Saturday we will win more than we lose and im sure Burnham would agree, Burnham played a patient game and who ever was going to score first would of won, so I don’t want anyone thinking im trying to take the gloss of there victory, they came to mile end stadium a place we have not lost a league game at in a year and a half, and got the points so again well done to Burnham and I look forward to playing them at there place.

At the end of the season the team that finish first are the best in the league end of.

Does BGU play 4-4-2?

how good are their wingers and strikers?

Their wingers were their main threat. They look to get the ball out to them as quick as they can build attacks from there. They are extremely quick and very direct.

Their front 2, unfortunately were anonymous for large parts of the game. Was this due to Burnhams defence playing well or the front two having an 'off day'.

And how good are their 2 Central midfielders?

are they good on the ball or they play direct, are they as good as Enfield centre mids?

how effective were Burnham tactics considering that BGU had many chances?

Thanks mate, CLAPTON is a different team this season.

Not sure what happened there but was posting and then it got sent. But anyway as I was saying

Gaffa - very gracious in defeat. Maybe you need to take a leaf out of Burnham's book and play each opponent different. Especially if you are looking to move up through the leagues.

Didn't realise BGU had such along unbeaten home record and that BRFC have not conceded a goal away from in the league yet.

This season does seem to be the most interesting by far as I don't see anone running away with league as has it has been mentioned before everyone is capable of beating everyone.

Can't see Hullbridge & APSA troubling the top 6 and what the feck are Bowers doing second bottom after 7 games ????

Silencer, sorry for not posting about Saturday until today, my computer got hit by a virus and i am at a library today until i get a new laptop hopefully this week.

I love the new stand (since last season) getting to be a tidy ground.

I must ask what is it with your boys? Your 4 & 2 liked a moan at one stage after we scored, 3 of your players actually argued loudly with each other, blaming each other for not coming, coming, not coming. coming.

Thanks for your kind offer last week to sort out a programme. I managed to get one very easily, we didn't bring as many as Romford. Ha ha.

(What is it with the number two shirt. Stansted now Manor)

Not happy with your number two, our Press man who is 70 and me holding a baby in my arms, were behind the goal we were attacking. The ball went out of play and he expected a man in his 70's or me holding a 20 month old to run after it and as we didn't gave us verbal abuse. Never seen anything like it. I am not a ball boy. I liked your club and how it is run very much, but his attack on me... made me chant when leaving "2.1, we beat the moaners 2.1" i got a massive bite out of your keeper. :munch:

It was a great day. THANKS TO SOUTHEND MANOR FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY. Good luck for the rest of the season mate.
