That's ok with me as I never read away programmes and personally find them all a waste of money, if wasn't free I wouldn't bother with them. (my copy will be donated to the club shop)

now there's a thing I'm the opposite I never buy the home programmes as I think they are all thesame full of adverts & dull, I only buy programmes for clubs I visit for the 1st time.

I agree the home prog gives you nothing new and with only a handful being sold not sure it even pays for itself

Well my "JETS" Page usually has something new each game. Why don't you offer to write something for the Programme if you don't like the content? :gotcha:

Just over 1 in 2 supporters who attend home games buy a programme, hardly a handful.

I remember Junior doing a player profile/pen pics for the programme a few seasons back which i thought was good, gives you a more info about one of our players.

And money from the home programmes goes to OUR club and also gives people the chance to purchase 50/50 tickets and other merchandise in the shop at the same time.

What do you mean "also gives them a chance to purchase 50/50 tickets" I thought that was compulsory :smashfreakb: :bartshocked: :monkey: :affig:

i think that you shhould ask the cold end to contribute to the programme. his website is fantastic, loads of information, what do you say?

I was thinking this too, there's so much quality content on there, and assuming TCE doesn't mind his material being reproduced, then perhaps we could have another section in the programme? It wouldn't necessarily have to be about Town, we could have a page giving a round-up from / articles about other leagues for instance.

I would rather have the programme about the Town and all the various teams within the club as there is plenty of other places to find out about other leagues and clubs.

Enfieldpaul and Barney....cheers for your positive remarks.. had a few good comments from other fans and supporters of other teams too which is nice.. getting about 50-100 hits a day so i'm not going professional yet!! I hope other people are enjoying it too... Hopefully at the end of the season we'll have something to celebrate!! And hopefully the tips will get better!!

Yes well done, a very intersting site but I still say the club programme should be about the club.

I don't disagree, I actually think the programme we have at the moment is good - all I was suggesting is that if we could have more content in it, without someone having to go out and write it specifically for the programme (i.e. we use some of TCE's material), then it can't do any harm.

If we have a programme with the existing content, plus some extra stuff in it (be it specific to town, or just general football) then it would be even better. I guess that most of the people who buy the programme are mainly interested in Town (myself included), but I find TCE's posts on other topics interesting too, and it probably wouldn't hurt to have some of that in the programme, as long as it didn't mean that the ETFC specific content was reduced.

We wont get any more pages in the programme so to add anything WOULD mean losing club content as I know from a couple of times already this season.
