I thought they were millions of pesetas in debt?

 

Just realised, he may become an English outcast just like that Steve McManamanaman chap, who, co-incidentally, is also at Real.

I have to say, I think it's tremendous business on the part of Man Utd.

 

I'm a big fan of Beckham, and he's terrific for England, but in all seriousness, he's had two disappointing seasons now for United.

 

I think all three parties are on to a winner...

 

Man Utd - cos they've made a shedload of cash

Becks - cos he'll make a shedload of cash and be a better player for it

Madrid - cos they'll get a re-vitalised Beckham who'll go on to help them lift the Champions League once more.

The worst thing is, I can just see the media running some sort of 'Beckham-watch' every feckin week, 1 assist this week, took 8 corners the next week, has hit the post this week, BECKHAM SCORES HIS FIRST FOR REAL!!! etc

He wont be ahead of Zidane look at how badly the French did at the last world cup without Zinadne for 2 games after with Zidane having won the previous world cup and european championship. At real defensive midfielders get played at centre back.

Good luck to him, I reckon. Rainy dismal Manchester, Alex Ferguson's blotchy face, Paul Scholes' rat face at every training session and knocked out of the Champions League every season, or playing alongside Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Roberto Carlos (or even sitting on his [****!!****] with MacManaman on the bench every week) in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe?
