Gomez are brilliant. I think what puts people off them is the fact that they are a student band and therefore tend to be fairly 'arty farty' and 'airy fairy' in their approach to music.

I've got the first and second Gomez albums and I admit the second one isn't as good as the first. I think they smoked too much dope and couldn't be bothered to do it properly. I also seem to remember the lead singer(who had bad hair) slagging off Oasis for not being creative or something. Well, look who lasted out of the two of them!!

Objection. The Ballad of Peter Pumkinhead and Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmmm were two quality songs, both much better than anything Sh#tleback could ever come up with.
