Fixture Reshuffle

Right, here goes:

 

Since our ESC tie at Waltham Forest has been rearranged for Wed 11 November, our ILC tie at home to Brentwood Town has been postponed until Tues 17 November.

 

This means our RPL game at home to Canvey Island has been postponed until Tues 1 December.

 

If, however, we beat Waltham Forest, the Canvey game will have to be put back until the New Year because the w/c 30 November is the week earmarked for the next round of the ESC.

 

Have you got that?!

As much as i like the essex cup,i find it ridiculous that it takes precedence over the league and league cup.surely the league is more important as thats the bread and butter

rob - you moan about the essex cup every season and every year you get the same response.

 

if a league match is postponed, it has to be played by the end of the season for the competition to be complted. hence fixture pile-ups.

 

if a cup game is postponed, the competition cannot proceed until the rounds have been completed.

 

a league is a competition with a number of rounds which can be played in any order.

 

a cup is a competition with a number of rounds which have to be played in a particular order.

I fecking moan about it every year because as much as i enjoy it,it is a 3rd rate competition and league games end up being postponed because of it.

I can understand the fa cup,fa trophy and even league cup competitions maybe taking precidence over the league but is it really necessary to let a mickey mouse cup interfere with league games,especially when half the teams in it don't even put out their 2nd teams let alone first teams!!!
