BlueGate Alan
Even though not a proper first team match, I thought as so many Margate fans there tonight I would do a MOTM.
BlueGate Alan
Has to be Dan Stubbs for me though I thought Joe Healy playd well too and scored two great goals. Joe Taylor held ball up well too in second half.
michael
Does the referee also desrve mention-apart from having quite agood game(who was he)he enabled the game to take place-which must have been very close to being called off because of the fog-and he got it right as after 20 minutes the fog cleared. brilliant call by the ref. BlueGate Alan
I did think that too Michael until he spoilt it by blowing up against both sides for inocuious challenges IMO later on in game. Overall though, yes I agree he could quite easily have cancelled game.
Broadstairs Dave
Curtis just shaded it for me from Danny Stubbs and Aaron Lacy who both covered acres of ground and offered options to others. Well done to the catering staff too, good service and the chips were superb.

Agree Alan. Too much whistle when not required. I also agree however with Michael in that with the fog being so dense at the start it was a good call by the ref. Was surprised how quickly it lifted too. Agreeing with Michael again,Blackman did get involved in the first half & was a handful for them but after being replaced things werent as they were in that first half. M.O.T.M.? For me,STUBBS although had Blackman played the full 90 minutes he would have been in with a shout.

BlueGate Alan
One thing I noticed last night is that Aaron didn't do many long throws into box, can't remember if he had no chance to do any, but he did show how well he can defend and attack down the wing I thought. Broadstairs Dave
Aaron took the throws much quicker than of late and caught the Rmas defence out of shape. Just as effective as the torpedo throw imo when everyone is marked up.

Porka
Ref was Keith Stone from Ramsgate (who I work with), who is running the line for our game at Cray on the 29th Nov. The other lino that day will be Richard Joss from Margate who was ref at Southwood during pre-season.

Brickie
Stubbsy for me, worked tirelessly all night and was still full of running at the end (maybe should have scored) Healy a close second for his 2 superbly taken goals and good workrate. Lloyd seems to spend a bit too much time complaining when he should be following shots up, a couple of times he turned his back on play to appeal to the ref when the chance was still there. Impressed with Samson King, big and strong and always finding space for himself to give players an outlet, held the ball up well. Also good to see a vocal Gaffer on the touchline, seemed to know what he wanted from the players and got his message across strongly.
Cookie
I like Blackman but similarly he does also like to pay attention to the man rather than the ball when its heading his way. Does annoy me that. If he were to concentrate on getting to the ball first I'm sure his game would improve even further i.m.o.
