SSML website or mitto are not always the quickest, last night's Division 1 cup results weren't posted but Cliff had already posted the AFC Dunstable v Stony result and the fact that Hadley v Bedford had gone into extra time, think the reason Rhodsie that results weren't forthcoming on here is that the admin boys had bitten off the hand that feeds them

As you say I do find that it often takes forever and a day for the results to be put up on the Mitoo site which I guess is where most punters tend to go to get their information, if they don't find the result they want there at say 6.15 on a Saturday or 10.30 midweek then they will possibly come here and if the result is up, as was the case last night, then they will raise their eyebrows and return.

Firstly, can I point out the difference between OFFICIAL results and unofficial ones? The ones put on Mittoo are OFFICIAL, and not obtained by phoning round various clubhouses and asking whoever answers the phone!

 

Until the SSML Press Secretary has emailed the full list, they can't be put on Mittoo. He has to interprete a large number of often unintelligable answerphone messages before he can compile his list.

 

Secondly, HTFCew, who generally enters the result on Mittoo (for nothing!), is second to none for efficiency and dedication, and Rhodes should know better than to make snide remarks about the subject. I know (because I occasionally cover for her) that the whole of her Saturday evening is taken up by updating Mittoo, and that midweek it can be past midnight because of extra time etc.

 

So, those who encourage Rhodes should have a think about it before they back him!

 

Incidentally, the computerised telephone results system used by the Herts Senior County League ensures that results are on the league website (www.hsc.leaguemanager.biz) as soon as they are phoned in! No human intervention! 21st century.

If Rhodes (or anyone else) bothered to look at http://ssml.myfreeforum.org/index.php they would find all the first team results on there around 6pm on a Saturday - they are on Mitoo at the same time, if not earlier.

But you DO mean to ruffle feathers! I've explained why the results sometimes are seemingly late on Mitoo. I suggest you start a campaign with the league to adopt the telephone system used by the Herts Senior County League! Then you will see the results as soon as the home club secretary has phoned in!

This brings me onto another issue of fining Club's for late results as Tokyngton Manor had one recently, does it go by when the result is phoned in or when Jim listens to the message.
