Just had a text from Annie who's at the game. Apparently one of the Waltham Forest players has suffered a suspected broken ankle after a late tackle about ten minutes into the game.

An ambulance has been called and there's a possibility the game could be abandoned.

Latest news from cricklefields is that after a few minutes a waltham forest player has suffered a suspected broken ankle, there was no tackle invovled so he must of done it running for a ball.

There is talk of the match possibly being abandoned as it is quite serious.More updates to follow if they start playing again

I am just hearing that the game has been called off due to this injury.

I will reserve judgement on this until i know the facts but it does odd that a game is called off due to an injury. That would suggest it is very bad or maybe the pitch is unfit but who knows

It's possible the player can't be moved from the pitch due to the nature of his injury. Annie said something that they were waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

Apparently the player was still on the pitch when the ambulance arrrived so obviously the injury seems quite serious and the player couldn't be moved.

To cop it all, a thick fog has descended around the area and the pitch is barely visible!!!!
