I'm sure your right Woddy (f*** that did not sound right) I would think his Brother had a lot to do with it, I never took much notice of what my Brother said I had my own life to lead.

I spoke to Craig when it was clear an approach had been made and it was not about money it was the rotation system which SB uses that he didn't like one game in next game on the bench

Well I'll be sorry to see Craig go. I thought he added something different to our front line. I wish him luck at Burnham, as long as he doesn't score against us!

Also sorry to see Roy depart but completely understand his reason for doing so... best of luck to him too!

I can only see the same at Burnham though. Him and Papali are very similar, so i'd imagine it will be one of them up front with Ryan Bird who is their targetman. Craig offers pace and power and Papali is more of a goalscorer.

I'm sorry but that is absolute poppycock.

When he first came to us he was not selected because he was not fit. Once he was fit, for the next 13 games he started in 8 of them, in 4 of the games he was injured or suspended and the other one against Hitchin he was on the bench because he turned up about 15 minutes before kick-off.

Absolutely. Of the various strikers we had he was the one who started all the time when fit and available. Rotation policy is a smokescreen meaning I'd rather play with my mates and pick up a few quid extra.

Can't agree more.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't a concoction between him and Jarvis from the beginning. Go to Slough, get yourself fit, let them pay your wages and then come to Burnham.

The smell stinks.

Maybe so, but look at the goals he scored. He kept us in and scored the winning goals in the FA Trophy and also scored in the FA Cup, so regardless as to whether you think he was chasing money he probably made the club more money against the cost of him playing for us.

You can't begrudge him for that.

I think we will see more of this in the rest of the season.

This is due to having better players in the team and therefore there will be more intrest from other teams looking to pick them up.

This will also mean that Steve Batemen will need to bring in players to ballence out the departures of those who decide to go.

Although we are performing better and are near the top, for some players the grass will always look greener elsewhere - or their greed will kick in!

..........but I still can't understand why he signed for us in the first place. What was the point?

Agreed we're a bit short now, especially as Simon Martin's injured again. Still we can now sign players without bothering about them being cup tied.

That fella Richards from Boreham Wood should do the trick!! At least he'd have a bit of a crowd to watch him. By my calculation there must have been as many as 50 Boreham Wood fans at the game today.

bernie you do realise that club officials don't count only paying punters!

Quite, so how do they manage? It's a nice ground too, shame the people of Borehamwood don't think so.
