Following a seven-day approach, Craig O'Connor has joined Burnham FC.

The striker left Slough Town earlier this week to reunite with former Beaconsfield Sycob manager Jamie Jarvis at The Gore.

Meanwhile, Jarvis revealed he has released Rob Saunders from the club and will not be seeking a replacement.

From the Slough Observer:

It is expected that Craig O'Connor will be in at The Gore although at the moment it has not been confirmed. Jarvis added: "Craig has given me his word he will join but he is still suspended and injured at the moment so that will be the replacement (for Rob Saunders). "The forms have not been signed as yet but he's been recieving treatment from us."

Although think it's been done now:

With Gumbsy and O'Connor going I would not mind seeing someone else come in. The guy at Leighton dennis fenemore scores goals for fun this year and might be worth a look at if he was interested in coming here.

Although the word is SB is looking to cut the player Budget.

His loss. Irrespective of how good any player is if they don't want to play for Slough we're better off without them. Don't want players that are going to just chase money.

I agree. Not convinced about the 'chasing money' bit, but we want players who are committed to the club. Clearly O'Connor didn't fancy the challenge with Slough and wanted an easier ride with his mates where he feels comfortable. I always had a feeling with him that he wouldn't stick around - couldn't put my finger on it.

Sorry but I don't agree Garry he's just like all the other tossers who p****d of for glory, what I wish him you I cant put on here.

The facts speak for themselves he had obviously lined up a move some while back-well rid I reckon, personally I never rated him much, sorry but he was too small in my opinion and you have to be very good at that height to survive.

Hotspur, what makes you think he lined up a move some while back?

As much as I hate to disagree and even though he is past his best I still rated him because he gave our forward-line something completely different i.e. he is quick off the mark with good close ball control, could turn very quickly to bring about the foul and was always in the defenders face.

Some of the comments here are very unfair. Craig is a good player who has scored some good goals in the short time he has been with us. looks like a player you want rather than one you want to face. Im dissapointed he has left us but at the same time I understand why. Good luck to him and hope he does well

Well according to the Burnham manager O'Connor had already promised himself to Burnham-and you can't tell me that only happened days ago-he would not have put in a 7 day approach if he was unsure of getting his man !

His Brother plays for Burham. Was he meant to not talk to him whilst at Slough then!? Alot of 7 dayers are of course pre-arranged at this level as many players know each other.
