Clubnight

Folks, first of all apologies, we are still experiencing problems with the website. I am posting to highlight an item in the programme last Saturday and spread the word about the club nights planned to coincide with training on Thursday nights. All are welcome, come along, have a drink with the players and share your views, and find out the latest news.

The club are keen to build relations between the supporters and the team and show the players that everyone is behind them. A series of informal sessions are to take place in the bar at Brimsdown on Thursday evenings starting on 29th October, when the players and management will be present to discuss all things related to the team. It will be a chance to get to know the players better, and build on the positive energy that exists at the club at the present.

The evening will start from 8pm onwards, and this week the plans for the new stadium will also be on show and directors available to answer any questions you may have about this exciting new development for the Town.

Chairman Paul Millington said 'there is a buzz around the place again and everyone is enjoying the football at the moment. The players are loving the support they are getting and seem to thrive on it and it is paying dividends on the pitch. We are certainly seeing plenty of goals and the games have all been entertaining affairs with plenty of excitement. Hopefully we can keep on improving and Steve and Del will be able to bring some success back to the club'.

is this another failed exercise?

no one turns up, why?

Cos no one really wants to go to that hovel, especailly on a cold Thursday evening bad enough having to go there on tuesday/saturday

maybe in a recession asking people to go out again and spend money is not really going to happen, unless you have something to offer, and on the back of failure on the pitch and delays with the QE I would suggest the buzz is more of anothe fizzle

If I lived a bit more local to the ground I would turn up on a few Thursday evenings but with the traffic it takes over half hour to get there and I wouldn,t bother going anywhere for that long just for a drink. All the relevent club news is in the home programmes anyway.

You cunningly omitted the word 'weekly' from the announcement, I see. Last night there was just me, Medders, Gary Brooker, three Brimsdown card players, and a load of tumbleweed blowing in from the car park. There was not a player to be seen.

Well you should not have been bored then! You could have spent the evening poking Medders with a sharp stick to make sure he was awake - and I always did like Procul Harum :brille008: :monkey:
