I hear Michael Eavis had to turn down Paul McCartney's offer to headline on Saturday night, cos Radiohead had already filled the spot.

I would have put Macca on the Sunday slot instead of Moby. I thought the PM concert was superb, 3 hours of top tunes and he would have made a great headliner BUT

 

Radiohead are fantastic live and the Saturday header should be there for the contemporary bands, but the likes of Bowie and Roger Waters have always been great for the Sunday. Rod Stewart wasn't too bad, just cheesy as hell, in fact I may have left early as it wasn't doing that much for me!

 

But Macca ought to do the spot where Zwan have cancelled, but I can't see that myself.

I think they offered him both the Friday and Sunday slots, but he could only do Saturday for whatever reason.

 

There's a real chance he'll be doing next year though - I'll just have to make sure that next year I get off my backside and get tickets as soon as they go on sale!!

Zwan?? You've made a lucky escape there! They are so bland, I feel sorry for Billy Corgan going from a genius band like the Smashing Pumpkins to THAT!

They should replace Zwan with another hour of the Inspiral Carpets.
