Barkingside 1 ( 0-0) 0 Stansted

Ryan Imbert 89m Att 152

Goalscorer should read Referee & Linesman as Imbert was at least 2 yards offside ( As advised by at least 6 different ESL Managers.

Stansted had 2 good goals ruled out and the referee was without doubt the WORST I have ever seen officiating at any level of football in over 40 years. :zornig: :zornig: :zornig: :zornig: :zornig:

our(Stansteds)1st goal was ruled out for "foot high"!! what a joke!! both players competed for the ball our player tipped it over their players head and volleyed over their keeper from 25yds!! a piece of skill which was applauded by most of the fans in the ground, obviously it would have been a different game then.A Stansted player was sent off for leading with an elbow(rightly so if that was the case but it wasnt)a "side" player goes in 2 footed and gets booked! The ref was being assesed and went from bad to worse,a really good game was spoiled by the officials tonight and without doubt spoiled the game!especially for Stansted but the barkingside managers were of the same opinion!i KNOW the assesor was not too impressed with them either as i heard him talking after the game about them.He kept them in the changing room for a good 45 mins.No good to us now though.Oh well dont suppose the ref or linesmen will lose any sleep over that as they collect their money AND expenses eh!!! Here endeth the rant. :boxing: :boxing: :boxing: :zornig: :zornig:

Yeah cause I'm sure they were all exactly in line with the defence. It is when the ball is kicked, not when the defence decides to step up when the ball is in mid air, then try to appeal for offside.

Everyone likes being kept in for 45 minutes, when all the hot water has gone etc. Most referees will continue to think about their performances after the game, no-one likes to make mistakes. You also should remember that officials give decisions 100% honestly, they won't always be right but that's human nature, no official goes out to ruin a game.

Assesors are a wate of time mate.....they may pick up on the odd issues by in the main 999 times out of a 1000 they back the officials no matter what.

If you are a player, you make mistakes and get dropped or show frustration in amatch and are booked. A Manager makes mistakes, eventually he loses his job or in a game situation is sent to the stands.

Officals...nothing happens. They demand respect but at times they simply do not deserve it. On a few occasions this season, the shear arrogance and rudeness of the officials has been worse than I have ever known. They need to realise that people become frustrated and at times they do make mistakes.

I find that they make decisions on instinct. Instead of alowing a couple of seconds and watching the reaction of the involved players its all panic panic panic.

Sounds as though Stansted were unlucky....but its a long season.

I don't remember reading Stansted complain about Ref's or linesman before this season. Hold on you hadn't lost before. penny drops. Your number two from the league cup match at your place was he "involved" again. ha ha

2 things, firstly the no2 who played against you was not playing and secoundly you should be more worried about your own team as they are big time charlies who A/ cannot make two passes to each other and B/ useless.

Essex boy would not like to comment on who was the better team as I thought it was a very good game to watch, just spoiled by officials who were not up to it and as Silencer stated have become unaccountable for their performances.

Roons- Shock you support the officials as we all know you have not given a correct decision at Stansted for the last 3 years and hide behind the fact that you gave it Honestly, just try to keep up with play would be a start.

Rant over

The offcials who were involved at BGU vs Barking were very good I must say. The ESL has never been blessed with the best officials but as Roons says I think they all try their best. The worse official I saw in the ESL was the ref who was in charge of Romford vs Eton Manor first game of the season 3 season ago. Little black guy who absolutely shocking.

In terms of honesty I believe most are and the only official I can say blantantly cheated and was against my team was when Eton Manor played Halstead in the FA Vase a few years back. He knew all their players and was talking about going for a drink after the game with them. Knew them far too well. When the game started he was very bias in their favour and sent Kirk and Chester off for questioning a decision when they didn't swear or even shout they just asked why he had given it. Then to top it off he booked 7 of our players and on the 6th booking turned to the bench and said, " now you'll get a nice fine and reprimand from the FA for 6 bookings...how'd you like that..'.

Assessors are a joke. Why are refs getting assessed by ex-refs? The officials are the problem - we need less not more.

Have officials assessed by people who know the game. Officials I'm afraid.... do not. The standard is poor across the board from the Premier League to the Essex Senior League and beyond.

I have a few observations on referee's not their performance as i am sure they try their best.

We have had at least 3 games where an official has not turned up, a couple of games were delayed. Luckily to avoid a late kick off Saturday, the (you'll like this FCFAN) the Assessor stood in for the ref in the middle.

Any ideas why this happens? Are they double booked.

Wasn't there for the 2 Stansted goals so can't comment, from an impartial perspective did think 2 players were offside for the winning goal as they were standing beyond the goalie as he parried it. Even then nearly contrived to miss it from virtually on the goal line- would have been the miss to end all misses, maybe lino saw something i didn't but did have some sympathy for Stansted keeper.

Agree with Jenko, had the same officials against BGU twice in a week and they were excellent, Saturday's ref against Bowers also very good and not just cos we won.Must be said overall standard leaves awful lot to be desired, too many games decided by incorrect decisions or ridiculous sending off's and not necessarily by which team was the best on the day and that can't be right.
