Tony Abbott

It is with Sad regret to inform all Slough Town Supporter who knew of Tony Abbott - he passed away after a long battle

with liver cancer - Tony goes right back to those days at the Dolphin helping out in the supporters tea bar, then after

many years became the Secretary for Slough Town for many many years - only retiring after Slough Lost its status as

supporters/members club..he went on the serve the Berks and Bucks FA for many years...

 

for those who knew Tony ..he never changed always and for ever a real Rebel...

That is extremely sad, Tony gave up a huge amount of his time to help the club. I hope the club will recognise this in some form as it is not often that servants of any club are remembered appropriately. I will always remember Tony as a very friendly and approachable gentleman.

Thanks for these lovely comments. I'm Tony's (second?) cousin (his mother and my grandmother were sisters). He was a very special part of my life, and it's really nice to know how much he was appreciated. It was also brilliant to see so many people from the club at the funeral yesterday. Thanks x
