Wellsie

Recommended Posts

Radio Kent have interviewed Mark for the radio. You'll be able to hear clips on the sports bulletins today and tomorrow morning and on the web at www.bbc.co.uk/kent.

Of course, the big interviews start on Gate Radio when we have some matches!

Yes, I'll be going to Hastings. And if we can get a friendly this Saturday, I'll try and do that - well, definitely if it's at home.

well that explains the "mercenaries" tag and the huge wage bill then. Just makes you wonder at the "ex-player" post a month or so ago if he was a local and was moaning about london players eing paid more than him. Sounds even more like sour grapes now.

I heard a rumour he used to train at gravesend/ebbsfleet. Dont know how accurate that is, but I cant see Mark Butler looking at that as an option.

Yes they did train up there, I thought it was Maidstone. A lot of the players we had then lived in London and around that area, including CK so it made sense. When we played away we would pick up several players up at a service station, I think it was the Moat House on the A2.

wonder how well that will go down with the new boss. Doesn't look like he is gonna accept much in the way of excuses for players not training at the right place and time. Actually more importantly, wonder who we gonna get as a keeper in 2 weeks time lol. will the new boss make it 6 in 6 competitive games? In case you hadn't guessed I'm not counting the Folkstone friendly.

One of the things Mark is planning to look at is training and associated arrangements. For example, it may be that we have one session in the north of the county and one at HdP each week, but it's all to be discussed and decided yet.

At the end of CK's time training was at a sports centre in Rochester, just off the entrance to the A2
