W&E 3-1 North Leigh

Poor 1st half but what a transformation in the 2nd.

We could have had another 2 or 3 and the phrase "run riot" would not be massively out of place.

Victor's touch when deep is extremely average but running at the defenders he is very impressive and a cracking header to send us on our way.

Great composure from Chennels as he rounded the 'keeper and slotted home.

Most enjoyable 45 minutes since the B&B Final by far.

I've had one or two and dont have time to go into a hellenic league type Analysis but second half was very on sided...sadly the first half was the other way! Still...on wards and upwards!!!

We have won a few games by only paying well for a short period of time in matches, if we get it together there are very few teams in this league that can compete with us. In fact few can compete with us if we play for only half the time of the match.

All I can say is another 3 points and against a team that have been competing in our division in the last few years, a few results went our way and we are still undefeated and in a good position. Just need to keep it going, got some tough games coming up.

Good to hear Victor got another and Chenns banged one in, confidence hopefully returned after the trophy game.

Keep it going going guys and looking forward to Mangotsfield

UTR!!!

Whatever the Colonel said at half-time clearly worked wonders. We just looked so much more connected... passes were going to our players instead of empty space or straight to North Leigh, and the attacks looked so much sharper. Victor's goal really cheered everyone up, and that really was all we needed: and then the clear if rather soft penalty to take the lead (and how well did Seeds strike that!), we never looked like going behind again... still, my favourite goal was that breakaway from Chenns after that brilliant/fortuitous flick-on from Victor.

That's actually our best league result this season. But if we can keep playing as we did in the second half, we'll soon surpass it.

(I have managed to forget the entire first half, fortunately).
