TBH I thought Jacko's challenge was not a pen as he pulled his hands away, however Murph seemed to pulling at the player a bit as has he got through and it could have been given for that

I don't think that Bateman will be fooled by that win - we were dreadful. First goal was a keeper error from a speculative lob from Jordan - the only thing he did all match. Hibbert, goal apart, looked very poor. And Herron once again was completely ineffectual - why did he keep shooting instead of crossing. Thank the Lord we had Buchanan, who frequently had to make something out of nothing.

 

I also worry about NBH. Main defender, leading goalscorer and now captain. I know he's good but he isn't Superman. Workload needs to be spread around.

 

Yes, it's great we won whilst playing so badly, but it can't last forever. Unless we're becoming the luckiest team in the Division

From my point of view (admittedly over 100 metres away) i thought it was a pen. Disagree with an earlier poster who slagged off Sweeney i thought he was the onlyplayer other than Elliot who played well! Hayes did quite well in such a short time on tbh. Yes we were appaling but we won. We were appaling first half against someone away on a tuesday (i forget who) but we won... we were outplayed by Hemel at home and we got a draw, we are through against uxbridge despite beign terrible, i take it as a VERY good sign. We have a much better team than we have for the last few season and bates seems to have built a never say die attitude which must be commended! Poor gamer great result, Up the Rebels. Also glad got to see his first win in 2-3 years!!!!

sounds like Sinclair and Sealey could/should be given the all clear to return this week which could well revitalise the teams form. if the squad could suddenly be virtually injury free again we should be well set

This was a poor game compared to what we have seen. It was a good game compared to the last three seasons when we were poor! If you count the chances and the goals and the result, we won!

 

Like to see more support for the team instead of hearing groans for bad passes would help. We got a good name for cheering in adversity and despite being thumped. I suppose that has all gone now.

Hayes Rebel you make a decent point about the crowd getting on players backs when it wasn't going well. i suppose this is mostly because the fans now know we have a team that is capable of beating most teams in this league and the fact that Stourport were not really playing amazingly either. the expectations i believe have gone slightly too high at this point of the season though
