Didnt get there till a few minutes after the start but this is what I heard:

Mark Butler brings his assistant with him (forget his name). Butler is NOT on contract as yet. Still to have talks concerning that, however Butler is happy to be without one for the time being at least.

Taxman: Assurance (categorically) that the money WILL be payed on or before time. No problems with that. Sorry Ian to disappoint. :icon22:

Chairman None appointed as yet & may not be for a while. Discussions on-going.

I'm sure others will enlighten you all even more.

Ground developement.

The preperations for the North end are going well. Kp said they hope to be in a position to start with in a couple of months. Stated that planning already exist just need changes to positioning of segments with in the building IE, Home away changing rooms, 5-aside changing rooms, sports bar, kiddies play area(similar to Quex play barn) Terracing and, on the outside a full size state of the art artificial pitch.

GW stated that once the sports bar is open then the club will take over the present bar area again and start once again to benefit from the bar profits.

KP, also stated that London Margate are talking to 2 hotel groups to find an investor/oporator to help with the construction of the hotel.

Richard Piper,

(a retired chartered accountant)Director with responsibility to keep the clubs finances in order, Stated that the Tax problem is due to be sorted shortly. Richard as you may know also runs the club shop.

Cliff Egan.

Is the new Director with responsibility to raise funds for the club via sponsorships ETC. Many will know Cliff from is days here as commercial manager a few years ago before moving on to Stoke City and then Wolverhampton Wanderers. His son also played in goal for Margate.

I believe though did not hear it clearly, that You will be able to pay £25 for individual places in the sponsors lounge during games, includes drinks, meal etc. I am sure Cliff would get back to you if you him on the same number he as on the lottery adverts.07868564563

Gordon Wallace.

Spoke at lenght about various points including the new manager, the developer(Gary Lever),

On the manager he said it was his energy and his will to progress that convinced the board. He (the Manager is ambitiouse and wants to use Margate as a stepping stone on his way up the manargerial ladder, he said, this is ok as hopefully he will take Margate along with him. The Club is also ambitiouse to get back into the conference and further.

On the developer he said he had met him, GW return to the board was pinned on himself being convinced by GL that the development was in the best interests of the club. GW said he had been.

All the board said they were in full support of the youth system, and they congratulated the under 18's on their progress in the FA youth cup.

These are not word for word quotes but my memories of the forum.

Thanks for this. Much appreciated. What capacity will the ground when the Tivoli Road End is built? Also, did the fifth director Colin Page, say anything?

To be fair to Colin he sorts out everything on the away matches (coach, wages etc) as he is usually only director at these games, though know we have new ones am sure he won't be alone, in fact Cliff has made his own way up for several games already.

Spot on Steve, I see Colin as a good liason point between us and the fans. He also gets on extremely well with the players too, as can be seen on the team coach bantering away with them.

How come us supporters of the club have to read time and time again

in forum articles and especially local paper reports that the build of a new stadium is on the cards very soon, we have had this boring old story

for some years now, its clear to see it isnt going to happen as there seems to be nobody at the club with the knowhow to do it. We will stay as we are for a long time to come, NOWHERE.

quote 'Shedender' Yes its nice to see a board of directors has been formed and would like to see them take the club forward, its a shame the most important things will be decided by just one of them as has always been the case in the past.

quote 'Cookie' Arrr but this time, maybe by a different one to what was before.

'Blues with Soul.' And who might that be Tony ??!! You've got me scratching my head in thought!!

I'll be happy as long as it's not a certain sm#g ex-Chairman who instigated the demolition of the ground, then b*ggered off to become Chairman/Owner of another local club, leaving us with an expensive groundshare, a hole and mound where our pitch should be and back-to-back relegations to this Division.
