2 New Signings

Brain Statham has brought two new strikers into the squad ahead of tomorrow's game at Bognor Regis Town.

 

Leon Antoine, 24, who was at Braintree Town and Canvey Island last season, and has recently had a brief spell at AFC Hornchurch. Has also played for Redbridge and Harlow Town.

 

Lamin Ojo is a former Dulwich Hamlet and Welling United centre-forward, who has recently been training full time with Crystal Palace.

 

Statham said "Both have come to the club to impress and look to secure a place in the squad. It is no secret that I have been looking to add some strength and pace to the forward line. Both Leon and Lamin have that, so this will be a good opportunity for them to show me what they are capable of."

Leon was with us last season and never really showed his pre season potential..

 

He will do a job if you are playing long ball direct football becuase he is fairly good in the air, he is pretty quick too..

 

Problem we found is that his finishing was terrible, he missed hatfuls of chances, he also missed half the season injured..

 

What would worry me is that you are the 4th club he has been with already this season Welling, Braintree and Hornchurch..

Any team that is relying on antoine to shoot them out of trouble are in deeper trouble lol.On his day he is a real handfull but sadly those days are

few and far between... When he is not injured! he is very lazy and sluggish.With a MASSIVE change in attitude he could be a good striker..perhaps not ryman

prem standard but perhaps the top end of ryman 1.

 

 

Oh and his finishing is his worst attribute..

I heard Dormer's already signed for Hornchurch. Statham still hasn't made his mind up yet what midfielder he wants out of the Hornchurch reserve team to replace him like the Flack Antoine deals
