1. Andy ford = experience and the knowhow to get us back up the leagues , to have Ford at Margate would be a big coup for us .

2. Iain Oconell = Young manager with the inthusiasum we need . A Margate legend who is stepping up his ambitions with a club he loves .

3. John Keister = New to this but would thrieve at the chance to manage Margate , as he stated Margates in his heart and would give 150% .

4. Big Nev = Got Margate so Far but would be a back step in my book , stay at the club but not manager .

Andy Ford please with Jk assistant would be a great team please .

Manager – Mark Butler Mark came to Ashford from Chertsey Town, as Assistant to Nathan Wharf, after enjoying a long and successful career as a striker with Wycombe Wanderers, Egham Town, Staines Town and Aldershot Town amongst others. He made an excellent impression and upon Wharf’s resignation in December 2004, was immediately appointed manager and led the Club to promotion in 2005-06 then won the Westview (League) Cup in 2006-07. Mark has also led the Club to glory in the Surrey Senior Cup in 2008-09 and guided his squad to the Fourth Rond Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

I took this from the Ashford website .

Having advocated him both when Ashby left and more recently when Yorath left-i am naturally pleased with the appointment.

Whilst honour is a worthy value, i do hope that it becomes a contracted appointment;as frankly-with the support of the Board-i think Mr Butler will be very successful and fear that MFC may thus lose him quite quickly unless there is a contract in place-notwithstanding i am sure the club and manger would allow a suitable get out clause should a conference national club or higher look for his services
