I do quite like the new Siobhan Donaghy (ex-Sugababes) single, "Overrated". Saw her perform it on TV over the weekend.

 

I see The Coral and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club both have new albums out next month.

 

Do I buy the Radiohead album at lunch today??

I really like BRMC,not sure about the coral,i liked their first single but the rest of it is a bit dull to me. I haven't heard the Siobhan Donaghy single but the sugerbabes are quite a good band,and were better when she was still in it,they were less pop then. As for radiohead,apparently it's good,and i've heard a few tracks and quite liked them.

The new coral stuff sounds very good, have already recommended the new SFA single and their albums are always of a very good standard.

 

BRMC, the last album was good but I haven't heard enough of the new stuff to comment.

 

Hail T'Thief is worth buying, I think it's a natural progression from Amnesiac, it's not back to OK Computer, but there's certainly more guitar in the mix. 2+2=5 is a great opener, I love "sail to the moon", you've already heard "there there", quite sometime before it's release, "punch up at a Wedding" is very good too. The rest is beginning to grow on me and like every radiohead album since OK Computer, it takes a few listens to really get the benefit, buy it!

Kid A is my favourite Radiohead album, followed by The Bends. I don't own Amnesiac. I like OK Computer, but struggle to understand why it wins all these 'Best Album Of All Time' polls. It's not even the best Radiohead album!

 

When's the new SFA single/album out, Steve?

 

The Sugababes are a good band, FleetBoy, and I agree with what you say about when Siobhan was a member. Quite why she was replaced with an ex-member of Atomic Kitten, I don't know. Presumably for her looks, which is a bit of a sell-out, being as Sugababes should not be confused with your average girl-band.

I think OK Computer is probably their best piece of work. I reckon the Bends would go second, then Kid A, I like them all really though..

 

For SFA, I think the album is end of July, the single is 'very soon' according to their website..

 

Just heard David Bowie is touring Oct/Nov think I'll try and track that one down, he's doing 4 dates in the UK.

Yep, tickets go on sale 9am this morning. Hhe's playing Wembley Arena and the Manchester Evening News arena. I think if you go on the Xfm website (I heard it on there) you can find out more.

 

I love that new SFA track. I've never been that big a fan of SFA, but that track is just outstanding!

I never said that I was poor! What I meant was that my bank statement showed that I have TOO much money and that I'm going to have to pay really high taxes. I'm glad somebody said that. I saw the song on MTV a few weeks ago in a pub but didn't catch who the artist was. I heard it on Radio One the other day and as a pop song it's pretty good. Video's not bad either!

That new Siobhan Donaghy single is out on Monday, CZ by the way.

Saw her on Saturday's Top of the Pops and she looked quite fit.
