Having done AS level geography I would like to disput the post by Matt CIFC. We wouldnt be in an ice age now if it werent for global warming. All global waming has made temperatures during the current inter-glacial period 3 degrees hotter meaning that the only affects of global warming are slightly hotter temperatures, slightly higher sea levels (good Canvey sinks faster and greater coastal erison of canveys shores) and it has increased the time the current inter glacial period will last by around 2000 years.

more global warming could lead to a huge drop in uk tempratures.. the melting cold fresh water from the artic could force the gulf stream further south or stop it all together.. leaving us with temps more in line with our longtitude? which i believe is a bit above toronto brrr

Basically i discovered on this forum (of the many i use on interent) is the only that uses proper english as if I typed in this way on any of the other forums i used i would be abused.
