Wembley V Hoddesdon Town in the FA Vase

Horace - Well I'm pleased you agree with me, they very occasionally, once in a blue moon, have the brass band at the band stand in the park near to John Adam Street but where have all those type of old fashioned British traditions and values gone, nobody seems to give a damn these days do they and it's really sad to see, now we have to put up with Polish folk dancing

Oh for those halcyon 70's days days! Sitting in the sun eating your sarnies, listening to the brass band and watching the totty walk by. Not a sign of EU workers then. Lots of strikes by militant trade unionists though! Three day week energy crisis, Maggie Thatcher still to be unleashed on the poor unsuspecting workers. Raging inflation reaching over 20%. Happy days!

Horace - Yes but you've forgotten one thing, it was still Britain as we used to know it and not broken Britain

20% inflation, 3 day week, trade unions running the country - not broken?

LATO - Haven't you heard of the saying 'when in Rome do as the Romans', these individuals just litter Embankment Gardens and make a nuisance of themselves, they make no attempt to fit in with British culture and look you up and down in an intimidating way as you walk past

its ok Rhodes, we have just won a contract to rebuild A******* and B*****, that will put the kybosh on their intimidating looks

thinking about it, Lato is a bit shifty looking, isnt he?

Keeps - Let me answer that with a question. Have you ever been into a shop and the foreign shopkeeper has been on his mobile phone whilst serving you and makes no attempt to end the call, if so what has been your reaction to that.

The mobile phone is responsible?

Why does it have to be a foreign shopkeeper?

Have you ever thought that they might just be very concerned when you come into their shop and as a safety measure they are calling 999?

It doesn't however have you ever seen an English one doing as I described, I haven't. Why don't you just admit that the Country has gone to the dogs.

First question - Yes! Everyone is on their mobiles all the bleedin' time. And - No! I have my concerns over the state of community not people in this country.

Immigrants, economic migration has always been the making of this country, if you can trace your lineage back to Alfred the Great good for you, but from the Danes to the Normans to the West Indians and Asians from Uganda, wider Africa and the Sub Continent to the Eastern Europeans of today its always been to fill supply and demand in industry, agriculture and land owning. That and fulfilling our earlier obligations from Empire building.

The breakdown during the modern era of Society has got to be laid squarely at Thatchers door when she alone decided to break communities from Wales to Scotland and Cornwall to Yorkshire and everywhere in between.

It's got nothing to do with immigrants when you would be hard pressed to prove that any so called culture that we possesed was any better than theirs. You are just a bigot. Plenty of them around.

I can just imagine what the shopkeeper was saying to the person on the other end ...

... and another thing (sorry to go on but there's this lanky weirdo that always comes dressed in a 70's brown 3 piece suit that always wants to talk, but I really haven't got time to speak to him because he bores me shitless and talks the biggest load of tripe, so excuse me if I go on and on but it's just to get on the guy's nerves and hope he gets the message) blah, blah, blah (yeah, he's going now thank God, just a few more seconds while I give him his change, yeah the silly bugger wants his 1 penny change, a small price to get rid of him for good! I know, I know. I feel sorry for him coz I know he's got no friends, that's why he hangs around with that Nick Griffin crowd but the man just won't leave me alone, I think he thinks he can be middle class if he has 1 friend from the ethnic minorities or something, ah good he's gone now, thanks for that, I'll hang up now.)

My reaction is exactly the same as when it is a white shopkeeper who does it.

Don't worry Rhodes, you keep re-assuring us that you are in no way racist - we all believe you.

I agree that mobile phones are the catalyst for the rise in Orange supremacy.

What has all of this got to do with Wembley v Hoddesdon in the FA Vase, perhaps we should just agree to disagree and move on

I'll agree that you are a racist and extremely disagreeable. How's that?

Back to Wembley v Hoddesdon then until your next diversion.
