Signings (again)

Recommended Posts

think we all know a bit about Andy Jones from reading the previous threads (altho im bit worried about the 3some story on the other forum - but of course its not him!!!!). I'm told that Dan scored over 20 goals for Wakering last season. I did hear he was once a reserve team player here but that could be rubbish. Anyway its good to see the beginnings of the squad being assembled even if its very early doors and lets hope for some more signings news soon.

cant believe justin will be reading this ..its too hot...he'll be in the 19th at stock brook i reckon!!!

Its going to be hard for Justin to sign a few players. He can surely only sign people who he knows personally. All others have probably been told just to join the team for pre season and get judged after the friendly games. Most players will not want to do this, they all want to sign contracts before a ball is kicked!

Well he does have the knowledge of Andy Polston and Tony Cross to draw on as well.... In addition with the number of players available it is something of a "clubs market" - players can't afford to be too fussy or they may end up without a club. It may be we have a fair few players on non-contract terms at the start of the season to see how they get on in competative matches.

I can confirm Dan has never played for Billlericay before.

He played for Wakerings youth team where he progressed to the 1st team. During this season he had a 3 month trial at Southend United.

Last year was his first full season with Wakering first team, where he was top goalscorer and players player of the year.

The fella has a big future ahead of him and turning 20 its all up to him where he wants to go with football in the future.

Out are the beers and in comes the gym!

To be honest i think he will more than handle himself.

He will be a real assett to your side.

The fella has great vision and def knows where the goal is.

This should be the stepping stone to him going further, he is more than capable of playing pro as at his time at Southend he more than held his own whilst playing for there for their reserves.

He will also be far more fitter and stronger than last year as he has began pre season already, running along the seafront and hitting the gym.

He seems very commited this season.
