Schumacher won again :(

Recommended Posts

Michael Schumacher held off brother Ralf to move into the championship lead for the first time this season with victory in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Michael's Ferrari finished just 0.7 seconds ahead of Ralf's Williams after getting the better of the pitstops in Montreal.

Juan Pablo Montoya paid the price for an early spin as he finished third in the other Williams ahead of Renault's Fernando Alonso.

And McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen saw his four-point lead in the drivers' standings become a three-point deficit as he was forced to settle for sixth behind Rubens Barrichello.

Suggestions to perhaps make F1 motor racing more interesting.

1) Take the cars away.
2) Give them Motorbikes
3) Call it World Superbikes

That way you might get to see a race rather than watching a procession of cars tour round a one way system with the occasional stop at Kwik Fit to wake up the spectators.

Yesterdays debacle was pathetic with seven laps to go and four cars " battling " for the lead even the commentators ( who tried valiantly but unsuccesfully to make it sound interesting ) gave up on there being any chance of anyone actually overtaking. How on earth they have the nerve to market that rubbish as a race is beyond me. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

At least it's a little more competative than last season with the new rules !

Schumacher won again is slightly ambiguous !

It should read 'Ferrari win Again' Unfortunately their team has more money and clout than any other team.

I'm please to see Jaguar starting to get it right at last.

Poor old Eddie Jordan. That's a team I WOULD like to see improve.

the trouble with restricting F1 in anyway is it negates its very point.. to be at the cutting edge of technology..

i say scrap all the rules bring back skirts, 3 litre turbos, launch control ,traction control, variable downforce, scrap the mandatory pit stop and let em use any fuel they can invent.. move the crowd back 100 yards and let em go bonkers

Weapons would be a good idea and a ratings winner, and rules whereby anything goes. If anyone's worried about driver safety, make the cars remote control, then nobody'll get hurt. Make teams national, and watch as the Iraqi team get annihilated due to the fact that their weapons are all invisible...
