Explosive frontman Kissi played for the U16s, U18s and reserves last season (2007/08), scoring four goals for the U18s in 14 appearances. The strong Ivory Coast-born striker, who featured once as a substitute for the second XI (in April's 6-0 Valley victory against Portsmouth in the final match of the campaign), previously attended Crofton Park School, Brockley.

I certainly dont think the 2 lads Nev wants to sign will add much if anything to the squad judging on last nights performance and I cant see the board letting him sign 2 or 3 players if he's not being kept on . It was a strange game last night with Edusei or whatever his name is playing left wing back and playing very well indeed and Blackman playing half hour or so at centre back and also looking more than comfortable, I know it was only a friendly buts whats the value in doing that ? Thought Stubbs looked good as well and never stopped running although Wilson limped off with an injury . The keeper in the 2nd half looked way out of his depth IMO and like I said the 2 lads up front in the 1st half seemed pretty run of the mill, not sure theyll cut it in the Ryman Prem though. Only my opinions as I said .

Looks like Nev is planning to be here for the long run and is looking at developing us into a 'Total Football' side!

Not there personally, but can totally understand and go along with all that you have posted Franny.Good to read about some realism

I similarly ask-whats the point of it ;and also cannot understand how in the press that Nev suggests that kessi and conteh from Cray reserves are improvements on the current squad.

Frankly-i'll nail my colours to the mast and state at this early stage that i would have serious concerns if Mr Southall was apppointed manager.

He obviously does great work for the club at all levels- and long may that continue-but managing the first team from the little i have seen so far would not fill me with confidence
