Healy and the 2 unknowns off, Morris, King and Taylor on.

Wilson replaced by Louis Smith.

 

I'm not use to seeing friendlies played during the season. It just reminds me of pre-season friendlies and all the chopping and changing. Good way of seeing the trialists ofcourse. Someone is meaning business.

 

As for the other games being played tonight Ricay have equalised v Sudbury 1-1. Whitstable are having a cracker but currently losing 2-3. Harrow Borough 2-1 Soham

 

I see it's now 1-2 for us

Full time scores

 

Hornchurch 0-0 Wealdstone (stones rested half thier team for this one!)

Maidstone 1-0 Waltham Forest

Harrow B 5-1 Soham

Whitstable 2-4 Fleet

 

 

Extra time now being played Billericay 2-2 Sudbury ! I'll have to stay up now!!

Fulltime. Won 2-1.

Blackman played centre back along side Smith and Robinson.

 

 

I struggle to see the point of that.

Why not play with just 2 central defenders,rather than a forward at centre back who is never going to play in that position in a competitive game.Why confuse it with someone else in there.It may just be that Smith and robinson formed a formidable partnership.

Following on from the above-it seems Nev wants to sign Kissi,Conteh and King.

I have not seen the two former, so can't really comment-but it is of some concern that apparently Conteh and kissi from Cray reserves will improve the current squad,and be effective in the ryman league.

Is there some delusion going on here ?

Are we in danger of just signing more lightweight youngsters for the sake of being seen to do something ?

 

How many forwards can you actually play anyway ? So whats the point of just signing numbers

 

Should we not be looking for a bit more quality-hard to find-but thats the managers job surely.

 

 

Frankly-if this is the way that Nev manages,and sees the way forward, at this early stage-it concerns me
