THE EASTSIDE

Eastside Urchin

Recommended Posts

Now i know a few people were away yesterday meaning they couldn't attend the game at the bridge against brentwood but the EASTSIDE(the most notorious terrace in europe) has been dead for a few weeks and is in urgent need of repair.

We need new songs, new faces and some old ones back and to get it rocking like it was in days gone past

We need new songs for many of our players, old and new

So come on,lets get the eastside rocking tuesday night,i know the players think it makes a difference when there's an atmosphere and i think we have lost some fans who used to come along just to have a sing song or two

I think some people have just drifted away tbh. Some cant make games due to not being in work and not having an imcome atm like myself and can only limit my games fingers crossed That should change next week and then i shall be back over the bridge a lot more than present.

I have spoken to some who havent attended for a little while now and some have just gone due to results on the pitch and others just do there own thing and dont go to football anymore.

As for the Eastside It would be nice to get it back to what it was like a couple of seasons ago when we used to really vocal and back the team from start to finish.

Close the bar during the game!.

People will say that they put money behind the bar. Fair point

But a well supported team that is winning encourages more people to use

the bar afterwards and would get more people to come back to the bridge.

We know the players respond to more support.

Over to the drinkers.

Good point Mick, but if people want to drink they might just stay in the pub, and not come at all, thus losing their gate money and the money they spend in the bar. So what we try to do is appease everybody........................ :drinkies: :futbolbud2:

Its very simple. If you dont wont to keep the bar open during the game just because 10-20 are on the hill then just close the bar. They will go to a pub taking with them gate money, quite a lot of spending over the bar and any raffle tickets etc they may of bought. At the end of the day every one is going on about we need more money and when people come down and spend money you want to f*ck them off out of it. Cash is king so join the rest of us in the real world.

Only just got a new lap top last night, just worked out how to use it.

I personally wouldn't shut the bar or the hill but would like to see more people on the eastside at the same time.It is important to get behind the team but on saturday and against teams like dartford it is very hard because you are more or less outnumbered on the eastside.Hopefully as the weather gets colder the problem will sort itself out as people may not sit on the hill in the rain/wind/snow

I think the ones who stay on the hill would still come to the game but they just enjoy a beer while watching footy and theres nothing wrong with that, plus many bring guests who wouldn't neccessarily come for just the footy.

Its a difficult one

Great atmosphere tonight from the eastside, young jordan noticed that when there was a lull in our singing wealdstone looked on top, then we started singing again

More of that, was like the old days, just need a few more faces in there, although the first half was nice to be in the eastside at least half full

I think the noisy little girl should be our new leader.

Calm down Nemo, only started a little debate.

We all want the best for the club.

Good atmosphere last night.

Did the players respond to the crowd or was it the performance that lifted the crowd?
