Looks like a lot of positives came from yesterdays game, at least enough to make me feel like we didnt get beaten out of sight and indeed wioth a bit of luck could have had a draw or even a win.

Sounds like we did quite well according to their chap. Very complimentary on his part. Well done the lads. A loss but a good effort by all accounts.

Curtesy of a quote from the link above, i like the opening paragraph;

"With the huge distraction of next weeks Cup match on the minds of everyone, barring Wealdstone's management; this FA Trophy encounter with Margate on Saturday was in danger of descending into a side show. But this would have shown a lack of respect to a Margate side that proved to be a very stubborn and well drilled team that took until well in to the second half to break down, and an unwanted midweek replay was avoided".

i tihnk this loss is a blessing in disguise as the less cups we have in a way benfits as we can then concentrate on getting league points on the board.

Had to have a little giggle at a more 'complimentary' comment from one of thier fans

"I though big Nev scrubbed up well! He looked like a scruffier version of Jim Royal"

:smilewinkgrin:

Not as funny as what one of thier subs said as he was warming up to the player who the bucket collection was for.

" X (players name witheld to avoid embarrassment) said to me 'thier manager looks just like that ex Welsh goalkeeper, you know the one who used to play for Everton' "
