AFC Sudbury 3-3 Billericay - FA Trophy

Recommended Posts

For me, this was the most enjoyable game I've watched since we beat AFCH in the FA Cup. Although we only got the draw it was generally a far better all around performance. Scored three goals and led twice, which makes a pleasant change.

Danny Green looks like a very good addition and Matt Hall, again, was impressive.

No doubt it will do James Baker good to have scored a goal that actually matters.

Both Baker & Billy Bricknell worked hard for the whole 90, and were looking dead on their feet at the end. We could do with that addition up front ASAP.

Greg Oates picked up a injury that saw him replaced by Ryan O'Rawe.

MOM for me was Shinn.

Wasn't at the game but am hearing very good reports from the manner in which the team played yesterday.

I am looking forward to tuesday night now and hopefully the blues can build on these 3 goals and this draw away and try and put some good form together i still believe and i will never stop believing in BTFC everyone keep the FAITH.

Lets try and get as many as we can down (or up) to NL on tuesday and create a winning atmosphere for the team and it will pay off and we shall emerge victorious.

COYB!

Much better display, passed it around well and scored goals too, the first coming on the end of an excellent move. On the down side, all their goals came from dead ball situations. Very frustrating to concede yet another late goal too, which would have meant nothing if Wareham had squared to either of the unmarked Bricknell or Yiga instead of shooting from an acute angle at 3-2.

Bricknell and Baker both worked hard imo and Shinn sprayed it about well. The Radio Suffolk reporter thought Hall ran the midfield.

Their number 3 and his ridiculously long throws will have to watched in the replay.

Shinn and Hall in midfield look a solid combination and Baker is putting the effort in. Billy looks sharper again. I really hope that we can keep Hall for longer than a month as he is looking very good. Over the last two games I have a suspician that our belief is coming back. I didn't get to the game, but the reports sound promising. Come on you Blues! I shall be there tomorrow for sure.

Well it sounded like a decent performance by the team. Playing teams from a lower league is always a potentioal banana skin and we only know too well about that. However, as long as the team give determination/effort and create chances then that is good enough for me.

It was definately a better display, scored 3 very good goals away from home and hopefully we can push on from here. Looking at how we played, I think we have some quality players, but at the moment they are lacking a massive confidence problem, once they have got that sorted, then I think we can push on, we played some good football on Saturday, however all 3 goals we conceded were from set pieces so this needs to be worked on.

Also I think people slating Wareham for not squaring the ball could be a bit harsh, I can't remember Brickenll or Yiga actually calling for the ball, and if Dave didn't see them two then hes going to shoot himself.
