Will they be brave again?

I wonder if it is time that the board bit the bullet and took a risk with the appontment of the new manager. The last time that Margate were floundering with poor form and attendances the BOD took a huge risk and put their hands in their pockets and appointed Chris Kinnear as the new manager. What happened next, was a season of consolidation and then that great cup run and the promotions. We then had two great seasons in the Conference before it all started to go wrong. in my mind we need to appoint a high profile manager again who knows the non league scene inside out. I would still like to see Big Nev involved in the club as he says all the right stuiff regarding developing the younger players and I think he would be good in that roll, as mark Weatherly was for all those years. What do others think?

IMO all this indecision is not helping at all. The players do not know who will be in charge at the next game. No wonder that at times they look like a group of strangers who have just met for a kick around in the park.

So let the board do what they are meant to do and appoint a manager before the next game so that the manager can do what they should and manage the team and, the team can then do what they should do and play as a team and finally we as supporters do as we should which is support the team.

Hang on a minute - there seems sense in waiting for the new directors to come on board and then for them to contribute to the appointment of a new manager. And don;t forget, there are a number of potential managers to see. This can't be rushed, just like a key appointment in any business shoudn't be rushed. If the board appoint the "wrong" man, supporters will be moaning at them for making the wrong decision. It's more about taking time to get the decision right, for me.

ok Wellsie fair point, but how much time do we allow is what i am wondering and probably a few others as well. The new look board will boost all involved at MFC but me thinks the sooner the better for a new manager. and before you ask i dont have anyone in mind to take the vacant position.

Onwards and upwards i say
