Bethnal Green didnt score in the first half, so I think that should be 57mins not 37mins.

Watched a good game today. Bethnal Green should have scored 3/4 goals first half but Barking Keeper Clark made some outstanding saves. Impressed with the resiliance Barking showed though. First 15mins of the 2nd half Barking were well in the game and then were undone by some awful defending from a corner, Barking defence literlly stood still, when it looked like the game was going to settle into a 0-0 type of game. Two subs by Barking seemd to disrupt them and they conceded just after.

Bethnal Green then poured forward and could have had a hatful but for some poor finsihing and good goalkeeping. Bethnal Green switched off to let Barking score and then amazingly Barking had 3 great chances to score and I mean absolutely great chances. They also had a goal ruled out for outside.

Fair result in the end and on this form Bethnal Green create alot of chances but need to finish teams off and keep their concentration at the back and they'll be an excellent side. Barking have improved massively. Were missing one or two players and had another player on the bench, Mackin, who looked quality when he came on. If they could get a quality centre half and a 20+ goalscorer they would be very, very good.

Would question the Barking tactics of making a needless substituations which certianly had a negative affect on them and the Barking supporters near me felt the same way...... :whistle2:

I was also at the Barking game - I hadn't seen Bethnal Green play yet this season and I never thought Barking were really in the game, they did have a couple of chances granted, but they were 2nd best throughout. Bethnal Green played much the better football and Barking were chasing shadows a lot of the time.

To me the Barking players looked heavy and unfit and it would have been an injustice if BGU hadn't won the game. On the evidence of Saturday I'd say BGU will definitely finish in the top 8 - top 5 if they have that bit of luck with injuries that you always need and Barking will finish in the bottom 6.

Takeley 2 ( 1-0) 1 Hullbridge Sports

Joe Galsworthy 10m Att 42 Chris Brown 70m

Chris Groves (P) 80m

Joe Galsworthy's one was a 10m penalty while Grove's goal was an header on 80m.

Fatboyslim will confirm that.

Now I am fascinated as the following press report has come to my notice - so who is right ?

" Despite determined defending it was no surprise when the home side eventually went ahead in the 37th minute with Leon Ryan dribbling past 2 defenders and giving Clark no chance."

fekin typical jenko, makes it up as he goes along, i'd have liked to be a fly on the wall in the changing room, " right lads get an early goal in the second period and we're back in the game"

........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

"But jenko we're 4-0 up mate" :511:

We did score in the first half, i should know, i had a better seat then Jenko

Maybe I was getting a coffee then????? I honestly can't remember a goal being scored in the 1st half. I was inside for about 5mins getting a drink for my son, must have scored then. My apologies...but as you say Anton you had a better seat!
