Tad unlucky to lose by that many.

 

Positives

 

Superb goal from some guy called King. This after just hitting ythe lino with a shot yes a shot. The build up to the goal was great.

 

Robinson and Cliff excellent. Harwood very influential. New yes new goalie not really to blame for the goals. Q great first half.

 

Negs.

 

Should have been two up at break. Guilt edged chances missed. Wayne very poor again even throwing a strop when a couple of gate players had a moan at him. Another keeper this surely cannot be good for the club

A bit late posting ,but agree with most comments.

 

Everyone played ok-no-one outstandingly good, no-one outstandingly poor.

 

The difference was that i thought in every position, the wealdstone players were narrowly- maybe just 5%- better than Margate players.

Multiply all those 5% by 11 players and you have quite a big gap and difference-sum of the whole bigger than the parts-so thats why wealdstone won-and just about deserved to.

 

As ever-games are won/lost on the odd moments-and whilst wealdstone could easily have been two up in ten minutes,Blackman did miss a great opportunityas well to put us one up after about 15 minutes (apart from that-i did not think Lloyd had his greatest game for us yesterday-and frankly-i thought Eduseiwas the more threatening forward.I was surprisingly impressed by Edusei- a bit unlucky to be taken off i thought

 

I thought Wilson had a good game in midfield-but i will say his shooting is way off-frankly-if you have three shots -and time to 'set them up'-you should not be hitting all three over the bar.

 

I wont get too excited over Samson yet -yes-he took his goal on the volley brilliantly,(others say his first shot almost hit the linesman-i also think it finished behind where he hit it from which takes some doing-but apart from those two golden memories-there was nothing outstandingly good or bad-so need to see alot more of him.He does shout and encourage well though and is enthusiastic.

 

Agree with the comments re:Lewis- as someone posted-debatable whether he shoud go up for corners-but credit to him as whilst he is a bit slow-he is definately fitter and quicker than he was five weeks ago and looks like he has lost at least half a stone in weight-so obviously worked hard and imo should be credited accordingly.

 

Whilst otherwise he had a good game, feel comment should be made that robinson was asleep when they scored their second goal from a short corner-no-one was out to stop the guy taking a short corner and player had all the time in the world to come inside and make a perfect cross -Robinson should have been out there-Nev was rightly not happy about that.
